00:02This is the third such summit to under the Conservatives.
00:06I'm glad that this government is putting out the shop front for the UK.
00:11That's the job of work of any government.
00:13And we've got a lot to be proud of with the financial services
00:16in the city of London, our science and technology superpower status.
00:20But you've got to walk the walk.
00:22It's not just about canapes and cocktails.
00:25You've actually got to have an environment that's conducive for business success.
00:29And if you're putting up tax on work, if you're threatening people
00:34with increased capital gains tax or non-DOMS,
00:37and if you're looking at fiddling the definitions of debt,
00:40none of those things are likely to produce an environment
00:43that's stable or conducive for businesses to invest.
