Surreal Long-wattled Umbrellabird graces traveler with its glorious presence
Birdwatching has to be one of the most underrated hobbies a person can have. Just imagine exploring exotic locations and being mesmerized by spellbinding species of birds that even the wildest imaginations couldn't conjure.
"So, we were walking the trails at El Oro - Buenaventura Reserve, when our guide told us to be quiet; he then started looking at the top of the trees and there it was: a Long-wattled Umbrellabird!" the filmer, Glen, told WooGlobe. "This bird is really hard to see because of their color and because they only hang out up high in the trees.
"It inhabits tall, lush, and undisturbed rainforests in western Ecuador and western Colombia."
