00:00Hello there. Many of us have seen an increasing amount of cloud as Saturday
00:04progressed. This has been accompanied by rain which we can see on the latest
00:09radar sequence spreading across Northern Ireland, Northern England and into
00:13Scotland as well. The far south east of England generally staying dry throughout
00:18the day and will continue to stay on the dry side into this evening as well.
00:22Meanwhile the rain pushing across many other areas. This could be heavy at times
00:27so do take care of spray on roads and potentially poor visibility if you are
00:32heading out tonight. It will be rather breezy for many tonight but with those
00:37winds coming up from the south it will feel rather muggy with temperatures
00:41holding up around mid potentially into the high teens for some so an
00:44uncomfortable night's sleep in places. But that means we get off to a fairly
00:49warm start on Sunday. A damp one for Northern Scotland as well with that
00:53heavy rain continuing to slowly clear northwards. Showers pushing their way in
00:58for Northern Ireland and Western Scotland. These could also be heavy at
01:01times with the risk of some thunderstorms. The cloud pushing
01:05southwards across Wales and central England potentially further south at
01:09times but sunny intervals persisting across southeast England and temperatures
01:13responding climbing towards 30 degrees Celsius. Not as high elsewhere though
01:18temperatures still slightly above average for the time of year. The rain
01:22then continuing throughout Sunday evening to provide a fairly wet end to
01:26the weekend for Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern areas of England.
01:29Again always the best of the drier weather towards the south and east.
01:34Looking further ahead and this low pressure that's bringing the unsettled
01:38weather is gradually going to shift eastwards and allow high pressure to
01:41build in but this will lead to a change in wind direction and northerly winds
01:46will start to bring in cooler and fresher air as we move into next week.
01:50Still showery at times particularly on Monday but an increasing amount of sunny
01:55intervals. The temperatures though slightly down compared to where we have
01:59seen them over the weekend. You can keep up to date with the forecast for next
02:03week by following us on our social media platforms as well as on YouTube and on
02:07our app and we'll see you soon. Bye bye!
