00:00Hello again. Plenty of heavy rain around on Monday and there's more where that
00:04came from. Some big downpours yet again likely on Tuesday. Low pressure is of
00:09course responsible. It's been edging its way in from just to the west of Ireland
00:14and these weather fronts bringing outbreaks of rainfall much of the west
00:18during the day and spreading across Scotland on Monday nights bringing the
00:22potential for flooding. Now not everywhere seeing the torrential rain
00:25but where it does occur as I said it could cause some disruption. There's a
00:28Met Office warning in place. At the same time an area of rain will move across
00:31the Midlands to East Anglia and the southeast. So some welcome rain perhaps
00:35here and the thundery downpour should at least start to ease from Northern Ireland
00:39although more showers could push back in here around dawn. It'll be a pretty mild
00:44night with all the cloud and the breeze temperatures holding up in the teens the
00:47high teens across the southeast. Quite a warm humid and still damp starts to
00:52Tuesday outbreaks of rain and drizzle for East Anglia and the southeast. Now
00:55that should ease off during the morning and then we're broadly left with sunshine
01:00and showers but the emphasis definitely on the showers certainly from mid to
01:04late morning onwards widespread showers looking at developing like a rash really
01:09over Wales the Midlands Northern England and particularly across Scotland. Here
01:13where the winds are light those showers may turn into thunderstorms and become
01:18very slow-moving potentially causing further disruption. There'll be a mixture
01:22of sun and showers for Northern Ireland and after a damp start East Anglia and the
01:26southeast looking largely dry through the afternoon and it may brighten up
01:31enough here to lift the temperatures up into the low 20s 22 perhaps 23 but for
01:35most we're looking at high teens 2021 at best and that's when the Sun pops out
01:40between the showers. Obviously temperatures will drop when the showers
01:44come along and still some of those slow-moving heavy downpours across parts
01:47of northern Scotland in particular during Tuesday evening particularly
01:51towards the northeast. Steadily they should also start to fade as we head
01:56into Wednesday certainly for the bulk of England and Wales the showers will ease
02:00off and for many it'll be a bright start to Wednesday with some sunshine but the
02:04clouds will bubble up again and again Wednesday also looking like a case of
02:08dodging the downpours perhaps not as intense not as many around and a better
02:12chance of seeing some lengthier spells of sunshine particularly towards South
02:16Wales and southwest England but again still some heavy downpours to come
02:20especially in northern Scotland where there'll be a bit more of a breeze so at
02:24least the showers should move through but that increased breeze will emphasize
02:28that cooler fear with temperatures still around or in fact a touch below average
02:33for the time of year. Still some heavy showers around then on Wednesday evening
02:37low pressure still nearby but just a whiff of high pressure edging in from
02:42the south promising Thursday to maybe be the driest day of the week before low
02:47pressure systems and weather fronts return for Friday so no sign of any
02:51lengthy spell of dry sunny or warm weather. More details on the week ahead
