00:00Hello, there's some fog, there's some frost and there's some rain around first thing this
00:04morning, but some more unsettled weather is on the way through the next few days. At the
00:09moment there's an area of low pressure just to the southwest that's going to drive a frontal
00:13system sweeping its way north-eastwards as we go through the end of today and into tomorrow.
00:18But it's Storm Ciaran which is tracking its way towards southern parts of the UK later
00:22tomorrow and overnight into Thursday which is going to bring some very wet but also exceptionally
00:27windy weather particularly to southern coastal parts around the English Channel. Gusts of
00:3170 to 80 possibly even 90 miles per hour are possible which is why we have an array of
00:36warnings in force for that. But for the here and now some heavy rain overnight across eastern
00:41parts of Northern Ireland in particular likely to cause some problems on the roads first
00:46thing this morning. Otherwise some outbreaks of showery rain across many parts of England
00:50and Wales. Some drier weather for a time across central areas but further wind and rain waiting
00:56to push its way in from the southwest as we go through this afternoon. A drier sunnier
01:01picture across parts of Scotland. A few showers piling down on a northerly wind but that northerly
01:06wind is also going to lead to a chilly feel to things. Temperatures across parts of Scotland
01:11struggling somewhat into just into single figures whereas further south it's going to
01:16be quite a bit milder. Highs of around 15 possibly 16 Celsius. If you're going trick
01:21or treating this evening watch out as there will be a band of rain pushing across southwest
01:25and parts. Drier further north but overnight that wind and that rain will spread its way
01:30across many parts of the UK and so it is going to be quite an unsettled picture. Watch out
01:35for some further heavy rain across parts of Northern Ireland. Again this could cause some
01:38problems some disruption with some further flooding likely here. Across the far north
01:43of Scotland we may hold on to the drier clearer weather so again it could turn a little chilly
01:47here perhaps a touch of frost. A milder story further south because of all the wind and
01:52the rain. Wednesday then is going to be an unsettled day for many places. Lots of rain
01:57around heavy persistent rain across northern areas for a time gradually making its way
02:01northwards bringing some snow over modest higher ground of Scotland. Behind it yes we
02:06will have something a little bit clearer so I am expecting some sunny breaks but also
02:10plenty of showers and these showers could be heavy. There could even be some rumbles
02:14of thunder mixed in too and then notice Storm Kieran the beginnings of starting to push
02:19its way in from the south west later on. That's going to bring some very wet and windy
02:23weather as we go through Wednesday into Thursday particularly to southern parts. Temperatures
02:27still a little bit on the chilly side across northern parts of Scotland and feeling it
02:31under the wind and rain that arrives there. Elsewhere in the showers it's not going to
02:35feel particularly pleasant but there will be some brighter sunnier spells and temperatures
02:39around 14 or 15 Celsius. Now it is Tuesday which means it is deep dive day which means
02:45it's definitely worth checking that out on our YouTube channel later on this afternoon
02:49as it's going to have a lot of information about Storm Kieran. I'll see you later. Bye
02:53bye.
