00:00Hello and a very good morning to you on this Thursday morning. Most of us seeing
00:04some sunshine through the day although overnight into this morning I've seen a
00:09bit more cloud move in across England and Wales and eastern Scotland and
00:12that's because we do have a slight easterly component to the wind a bit of
00:16a breeze down towards central and southern parts through today like the
00:20last few days. High pressure extends though across the country influencing
00:24our weather keeping things settled through Thursday before we see some
00:29changes come in from the south on Friday in the form of some heavy and
00:34thundery showers. So if you're stepping out first thing this morning bit chilly
00:37across Scotland and Northern Ireland mist and fog patches which will burn off a
00:41bit more clouds along this east coast as well as the far northwest of Scotland
00:45stubborn clouds extensive across much of England and Wales away from this western
00:50side here and also perhaps the far southeast of England but even here
00:54you'll see a bit of a breeze. So this cloud could produce the odd spot or two
00:58would drizzle over the higher ground first thing this morning but through the
01:02morning it will slowly break up burning back to the coast allowing for some
01:07sunshine to come through. So after a bit of a dull start it will brighten here a
01:12lovely day across Scotland and Northern Ireland Northern England as well and
01:16notice by around lunchtime that cloud has broken allowing for some sunny skies.
01:21We could see one or two patches of stubborn cloud along this east coast
01:25here but generally speaking it's a warm day with some sunshine temperatures
01:29rising very nicely through the afternoon coming in the low 20s across Western
01:34Scotland. Northern Ireland also around 18 or 19, 20 or 21, 22 for Wales and 26 down
01:40towards the southeast along that east coast probably the mid to high teens. Now
01:46that cloud returns through Thursday evening and overnight we continue to see
01:51low cloud towards the far north of Scotland again some patchy drizzle can't
01:55be ruled out where the cloud is thick enough. Keeping temperatures up there
01:58across England and Wales still a bit of a fresh start to the day across Western
02:01Scotland rural spots of Northern Ireland particularly towards the west and then
02:06on Friday the cloud eventually will break across many areas but notice
02:10towards the south will inherit some thunderstorms which will slowly move
02:14northwards and they are likely to be heavy with the risk of hail particularly
02:17across central and southern parts of England and Wales but fairly scattered
02:20through Friday. Fine and dry elsewhere lovely sunshine towards the west the
02:24cloud could be rather stubborn further east and it's a similar situation on
02:28Saturday so rather unsettled across central and southern parts of England
02:31and Wales these showers may move slightly further north as well and
02:34always the risk of thunder as well as hail into Sunday as well. See you later.
