Michael Chang says that Rafael Nadal has been a 'joy to witness' after the Spaniard announced his retirement

00:00You know, Rafa's accomplished everything that you could accomplish in the sport of tennis.
00:05You know, obviously, unbelievably well respected in every regard, whether you're a tennis fan or not.
00:12And, you know, obviously, you would never want to see a champion like that go.
00:18But, you know, it's time to move on.
00:21And, you know, obviously, you can't play at this level for forever.
00:24But for the times that we've had to enjoy him, you know, playing on tour and throughout some unbelievable,
00:31you know, so many unbelievable matches, you know, around the world was certainly a joy to watch and a joy to witness.
00:40I don't think we're going to see another person as dominant as Rafa on clay in our lifetime.
00:46I mean, it's been unbelievable to see his record on clay.
00:51But for him to go and win 14 French opens is is unfathomable.
00:57You know, obviously, he grew up playing on clay and in Spain.
01:00But I think being lefty and for him to know the the angles and to know the calculations that he that he knows on clay is just it's just a standard above everybody else.
01:15It's incredible what he's done that the French and his passion and his, you know, his love for for winning there is just incredible.
01:24And, you know, his record speaks for itself.
