00:15Sustainable and eco-friendly products are featured in the three-day trade show of ManilaFame with the theme of reimagination.

00:22The event has a media preview.

00:25We are joined by the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions Executive Director, Lea Pulido Ocampo,

00:32and the two Filipino designers, Rita Nazareno and Mako Custodio.

00:37Executive Director Ocampo was happy to announce the reopening of the ManilaFame trade show event this October 17.

00:44Right now in 2024, when the economy has bounced back to normal, we feel that there's more vibrancy in the show.

00:52We have more people, more exhibitors, and more buyers who have signified their interest to come.

00:58It's really going to be a show of course, not only for the home, fashion, and lifestyle industry, but for the entire export community as well.

01:09The two designers shared their inspiration for their designs.

01:16Nazareno and Chaco put together this concept.

01:20We wanted to reimagine, but also go beyond reality.

01:24So the concept for us was beyond reality.

01:27And we worked with 25 different manufacturers that had different techniques, different histories, different narratives, and different materials.

01:39We look into nature as a source of inspiration.

01:42I also wanted to, you know, bank on their provenance.

01:47I wanted to really unpack how the actual collection can be part of their actual brand, or where the company is.

01:57The event will last until October 19.

02:00And many are expected to come here to admire the skills and intelligence of Filipinos in the field of design.
