00:40centuries 556 their first inning score. England reply dwarfing it by 823 for

00:53score best as well 262. Pakistan come out in their second innings and they are 152

00:59for six trailing by 115 runs. Let's take you straight up to the commentary box

01:04for day five.

01:17The vacant slips expecting the ball to come squarer because of the lack of zip

01:23in the surface. The ball flies through that area for Salman. Seemed he played

01:29that deliberately. He knew where that fielder in the slips was placed. Just

01:39opened the face ever so slightly and picks up a boundary. He moves to 46.

01:58after scoring a hundred in the first innings. He is building a reputation for himself

02:41length, that shorter length. Short ball. He had so much time to just pull that

02:52off the front foot. That just said hit me. It sat up and he did hit it for four.

02:59Mentioned earlier, not as difficult a proposition when it comes to

03:04bowling that length as Kass.

03:12Jamal greets him with a shot of real conviction. He's tested Jamal out with

03:18this short ball. Caused him some problems from time to time. He's hit him on the

04:14The only way out of that is that you get in a situation actually physically

04:20overcome that situation and get runs in the second innings. Otherwise it just

04:26keeps on building. 50 for Amir Jamal. He's batted really with some courage and as

04:33usual shown character. He's a character you want in the team. He's shown that in

04:39Australia. He's shown that in a T20 game where he defended in the last over and

04:43he's showing it today with the bat.

04:50High it goes. Should be out. Oh, down it goes. Another one put down. Not easy

04:56running backwards but should have been taken.

05:05Chance. Wow. What a catch that is. I once, for a second I thought it missed.

05:30better. Had to dive full length and grabbed it. Wicket number three for the left

05:49Big shot. That's gone all the way for six. In the first innings also he took a

05:56liking to spin. This was a massive six. Yeah, he played a couple leg side and then

06:02he played a beautiful shot in the first innings offside. This was just as good.

06:25Gone. It's all over. Pakistan lose this and it's a world record in a way. A world

06:34record that Pakistan would want to forget after scoring 550 plus to suffer

06:40an innings defeat. It has happened first time ever in Test cricket. But credit to

06:48England. They were the better side and they bowled superbly on a nothing

06:53surface. On a flat surface they made Pakistan toil hard and once again it was

06:58the psychological dents that got Pakistan thinking about a low score and

07:04low performance in the last innings. It took England 17.5 overs in day five to

07:12wrap up Pakistan to record a famous victory here in Multan. They bowled

07:16Pakistan out for 220 runs. It was Jack Leach with his spin to close the innings

07:23out for Pakistan picking up four wickets. Gus Atkinson and Brydon Kass with

07:27two apiece. Chris Foulkes with one. A phenomenal victory for England in the

07:32first test of the three test match series. The match summary Pakistan 556

07:38England in reply 823 for seven declared. Pakistan in their second innings bowled

07:44out for 220 runs. England win by an innings and 47 runs in Multan. Hope you've
