00:01:58And it's always been for Tetsuya Naito about controlling the narrative.

00:02:26the guy who would be up with the crowd in the first 30 seconds might be up by the end of the night.

00:02:59I mean, Zack Sabre Jr. already we know will face Sanada next week Sunday at Royal Quest in Crystal Palace.
00:03:06And has said that if he comes away with the championship, then he will put it on the line in London next week.

00:05:29That's true, but he's also an extremely prodigious, prevalent and capable mat wrestler, amateur wrestler.

00:05:39Let's not forget his grounding in that regard.
00:05:42And certainly knows his way around a few Yabe holds to boot.
00:05:48It's just a different story when you're wrestling against the best technical wrestler in the world.

00:06:04You know, and I think that that label of best technical wrestler in the world,
00:06:08of course, Zack Sabre Jr., influenced by other greats before him,
00:06:11went into the G1 Climax carrying the expectations of Yoshinori Ogawa, who had then recently retired.
00:06:18And I don't think we can talk about this match in full without mentioning Brian Danielson
00:06:24and the end of his full-time career just the other day.

00:10:32It's how you deal with that pain, and for the most part,

00:11:14That word, scientific wrestling, comes about.
00:11:16You know, Zack Sabre Jr. doesn't regard himself as a scientist.
00:11:19He regards himself as an artist.
00:11:21And there's a jazz-like flow to what he does.
00:11:25He doesn't have a game plan.
00:11:26He doesn't come in thinking about things,
00:11:29which is what Tetsuya Naito often does.
00:11:31You often see him image training with his eyes shut in cold focus,
00:11:34you know, as his opponent makes his entrance,
00:11:36because he's trying to figure out,
00:11:38what am I going to do in this situation?
00:11:40Zack just doesn't think he feels that might be the difference.
00:11:45Zack Sabre Jr. has Tetsuya Naito on this latter half,
00:11:48rung through the ringer.
