00:04That's because the Tübingen University Hospital canteen has installed a robotic kitchen.
00:09It's made by the company Good Bites.
00:12Co-founder Kevin Deutmark says the robot can prepare 120 different meals,
00:16including meatballs, spetzel, ramen, and pasta.
00:19The robot has been in use since May and does require human assistance to stock it with ingredients.
00:24Hospital commercial director Daniela Harsh says its function is, quote,
00:28not about replacing employees, but that it is difficult to find qualified workers,
00:32especially for hospitals' odd hours.
00:34According to Reuters, the German unemployment rate is currently around 6 percent
00:38and has been rising in recent months.
00:40Canteen guest Regina Schomburger praised the robotic kitchen's pasta,
00:44but said, quote,
00:45Today it was a bit too much of the chickpeas.
