00:00On this fateful Monday, we witness Israel's first attack on a Christian-dominated area

00:14in the north of Lebanon. A lot of people are already using this moment to be like,

00:19ah see we told you Hezbollah was the problem. A lot of people are already advocating to just

00:23kick the refugees out from the north. And today Israel bombed a building on the mountain in a

00:30town called Eitel that was housing refugees, allegedly on the basis that one of these

00:38refugees or among these refugees was hiding some Hezbollah officer. The danger in a statement like

00:45this is that literally any place housing refugees now becomes a legitimate target.

00:52But what's important to recognize, especially if you're Lebanese, is that whether or not there was

00:56a military official or officer in this building is not the point. The point is to plant fear,

01:04to turn us against one another. We fall into the trap of turning against one another, whether that's

01:08blaming our neighbors that are housing refugees or blaming the refugees themselves. We'll only

01:13be handing them the keys to our own destruction. Beirut bled for 15 years. Now imagine that again,

01:19but worse. We are in charge of this moment right now and what this moment needs from us

01:25is solidarity. Solidarity is our superpower and this moment can transform us.
