Berlin’s baby panda parade

Two panda cubs born six weeks ago at Berlin Zoo’s Panda Garden are about to be shown off publicly for the first time. The twins were born to panda Meng Meng in August. The zoo says zoo visitors will enjoy a unique experience not seen outside of China.

00:00The latest arrivals here at Berlin Zoo's Panda Garden have started to make their appearances to the public.
00:06Back at the end of August, two twin girls were born to mom, Meng Meng.
00:11They're starting to be filtered, slowly but surely, into the enclosure just behind me to allow the public to have a look at them.
00:17Heads of the zoo say this is a unique experience not seen outside of China.
00:24So, you know, we have so marvellous Chinese keepers here, taking care of them here 24 hours a day, seven days.
00:32And so I think these are the best conditions maybe we can provide outside from China.
00:40Experts from Chengdu Panda Base in China work closely with the veterinary team here
00:46in Berlin to make sure that these pandas get the best start in life.
