00:00You can get just about anything on Amazon, including, for a brief moment, their delivery driver's urine.
00:05In a new documentary from Britain's Channel 4, filmmaker Uwe Butler claims to have taken urine from Amazon drivers' discarded bottles
00:12and gotten it listed on the site as an energy drink called Release.
00:16The product description called it the first fully reusable energy drink,
00:20and said Release Energy was born from the desperation and determination of those Amazon delivery drivers
00:25who dared to have bodily movements over the course of their grueling shifts.
00:29Outlets such as Insider and Vice have reported that Amazon delivery drivers often relieve themselves into bottles due to their demanding schedules.
00:37Speaking to Wired, Butler called it surprisingly easy to get Release listed for sale,
00:41and while he didn't actually send any bottles to anyone except a few friends,
00:45he told Insider that he had interest from about 10 actual customers.
00:49Insider also quotes an Amazon spokesperson as calling the listing a crude stunt and saying,
00:54Safety is a top priority for Amazon, and we require all products offered in our store to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
01:01If you're looking to get a bottle of Release for yourself, sorry to say, it's no longer on the market.
