00:00A group is worried that it might be affected by the election of 2025

00:04following the withdrawal of a local partner of MIRU Systems.

00:08MIRU and its remaining partners promised to come back that they can still fulfill their contract.

00:20The Civil Society Group Right-to-Know Right-Now Coalition is worried

00:25that it might be affected by the withdrawal of one of the three Filipino partners

00:30in the joint venture with MIRU of Korea.

00:33The one who backed out, St. Timothy Construction Corporation,

00:37is now in charge of the credit line in case the fund of the joint venture is needed.

00:42Who will pay for the financing that is still in the air?

00:48Especially since St. Timothy has already left.

00:51Funds have been disbursed.

00:53A big part of the P17.9 billion pesos.

00:56And the ballot is about to be printed.

00:59The group is asking for documents to see the share of the work and expenses of each in the joint venture.

01:41that they have already submitted a new net financial contracting capacity.

01:48They assure Comelec that they can follow and fulfill their contract for the 2025 elections.

01:56They have already shown their ability to do this.

01:59As of now, more than 78,000 of the 110,000 automated counting machines have already been delivered.

02:08Their commitment to transparency and inclusivity in delivering the remaining requirements remains.

02:16Regarding their office, MIRU said that they used to be in Quezon City.

02:20But they moved to Manila to be closer to Comelec

02:24because of their desire for easier coordination and communication.

02:29MIRU also said that even if the Philippine company St. Timothy withdraws,

02:35the 60% Filipino-owned joint venture remains.

02:40Because the former shares of St. Timothy went to its other partner.

02:45According to the Freedom of Information Act, the coalition will wait for half a month

02:51for the documents to be issued by the MIRU Joint Venture.

02:55After that 15 working days, we will be exhausting all our possible remedies,

03:01including judicial remedies if necessary.
