00:00The Social Services Fund was added by the Camera and other important government programs in 2025, according to Mela Lesmorax.
00:11To further strengthen the government's assistance to our countrymen,
00:15the Camera raised the fund for Social Services under the 2025 General Appropriations Bill.
00:23According to the House Committee on Appropriations Chair Elizalde Co,
00:27this was approved by the House Small Committee, which stipulated the low cost of amending individual and institutional amendments
00:35in the version of the Camera of the Pano Calang Pundo.
00:38More than Php 292 billion was allocated by congressmen for the improvement of social services, social safety nets, and food security.
00:49As one of the main amendments of the Camera in the budget proposal,
00:53Php 39.8 billion was allocated for the AICS program of the DSWD.
00:59The same amount was also added for the assistance in the Kaposangkita Program or ACAP.
01:05While the Sustainable Livelihood Program for low-income families was also allocated by the Camera for Php 3.4 billion.
01:13According to Chairman Co, this additional allocation is important to support the Filipinos in need,
01:20and they believe that through the livelihood programs of the government, poverty will also be averted.
01:27Some of the additional funds of the Camera are the DOLE program, Government Internship Program,
01:34Tulong Dunong Program, and Scholarship Programs of the government,
01:38Even though the construction of new houses and facilities in schools under the Department of Education
01:44was also given an additional allocation for low-income families.
01:48According to Appropriations Senior Vice-Chair Stella Kimbo,
01:51education will be of great help for the future of the country,
01:56and this is one of their priorities.
01:59The Armed Forces of the Philippines was also given an additional fund by the Camera.
02:04This is also included in the Daily Subsistence Allowance of the soldiers
02:08and in the completion of the airport expansion in Pagasa Island and the shelter port in Lawak Palawan.
02:14This is also included in the support of the Camera in the Armed Forces in their surveillance of the West Philippine Sea.
02:21First, House Speaker Martin Lomualdez gave the Extra Allowance for the soldiers
02:27in the recognition of the Camera in their sacrifices and unparalleled service
02:33to defend the country against internal and external threats.
02:38Aside from that, some of the additional funds of the Camera
02:41are the projects for the agriculture and health of the government.
02:46The Camera will submit to the Senate the final version of the proposed budget that they approved.
