00:00I'm worried about my future and how I'm going to impact this world later on in life.
00:06With less than a month before election day and with polls in the battleground state of Nevada
00:10effectively tied, if Kamala Harris wins it, it will be in no small part due to people like
00:15Teresa Tellis and Courtney Zelenak, members of the powerful Culinary Workers Union.
00:20The union was established in 1935 and has 60,000 members,
00:24made up of everyone who works in a casino other than the croupiers.
00:28I'm a 52-year-old mother of two boys. When I go to the doors, I really try to connect
00:34with the people. It's important for me to show my two boys that electing the first woman president
00:43is amazing.
00:45Both Kamala Harris and Donald Trump lobbied for the endorsement of the union
00:48and the members helped Hillary Clinton beat Trump in Nevada,
00:5248-45 in 2016, and helped Joe Biden in 2020, by a margin of 50-48.
00:58I want to be able to collect my social security and my disability benefits.
01:04So I want and need Ms. Harris to get in the White House.
01:09Nevada is one of seven battleground states whose outcomes are set to determine the election
01:13result. A tracking poll by the website FiveThroughEight shows the two candidates
01:18are neck and neck in the state, at about 47%.
01:21We're not selling anything, just going by, talking door-to-door about the politics.
01:29We have to make sure that we get out here and show them how to get out here in the future.
