Amy Corcoran, of Toolbox Marketing, was named Employee of the Year at the Bury Free Press West Suffolk Business Awards 2024

00:00So I'm joined by Amy Corcoran from Toolbox Marketing who's just won the Employee of the

00:06Year Award. Amy, how pleased are you to have stepped up to the stage and won that award?

00:11I'm very surprised. Yeah, very pleased though.

00:14What do you think this year is a sort of contribution to you winning that award? What are your big

00:20achievements?

00:21I mean, I've only been at Toolbox two years now. I feel like I've gained a lot of confidence

00:25and a lot of experience since I joined.

00:28Fantastic. Tell us about Toolbox Marketing. Who are they and what do they do?

00:31So they're based just outside of Ericsson Edmonds. We do a little marketing for shop

00:36centres. We actually do the ARC. I do the cover design there. We also represent quite

00:44a lot of communities. So yeah, it's really nice.

00:47Fantastic.

00:48Nice job.

00:49Yeah, it sounds like it. And you were promoted earlier this year. Tell us a little bit about

00:51your journey in the business to date.

00:54So I started straight out of uni. My first proper job. First sort of experience in the

01:01graphic design world. Gained a lot of experience straight into the market in the graphic design

01:07world. And then my sort of manager went on maternity leave, thrown straight in the deep

01:13end. Sort of took on that sort of manager role. Looking after someone underneath me

01:19as well. So yeah, straight in the deep end. Learned a lot.

01:24Absolutely. Well, your team say, and a couple stood behind the camera now, your team say

01:27that you've been an integral part in driving success at Toolbox in the last year. Tell

01:31us about the team and how nice it is to feel such a valued part of that.

01:34Yeah, no, I couldn't wish for a better team. They're so supportive. Like anything I need,

01:39they always say like any question you've got, however stupid it may be, like ask away. You

01:44know, they're always there for everything. So yeah, great team.

01:48I'm going to pull into the team here this evening. I'm assuming you will be heading

01:50out after tonight and enjoying this one.
