00:00Some car parking machines in Sleaford haven't been working properly.
00:04People trying to use the machines were keen to share their thoughts.
00:08Yeah, this machine never works and I have to use the one that's in the car park as well.
00:13So I usually can get a ticket, but a lot of the machines just don't work with cards very well.
00:19It's very frustrating, yeah, because I never have cash on me, ever.
00:23And they seem to work mostly with cash from what I can tell.
00:27It's not just card machines causing problems, though.
00:30The gentleman in front of me said this didn't work, walked over to the other one, couldn't get that to work,
00:34come back, won't accept my coins.
00:36Good job somebody was kind and nearby to help me swap coins to be accepted.
00:42No-one at North Kesteven District Council was available for an interview,
00:46but they did say they're aware that there is an intermittent fault being experienced
00:49with card and contactless payment at some of their parking machines.
00:53They said we are seeking to rectify the issue and are sorry for the inconvenience,
00:56but would like to remind customers that payment is required for parking.
01:00They also said they hadn't previously been aware that there were any problems with cash payments.
01:05This is Amy Carr, reporting for Lincolnshire World.
