00:00So I'm here today with Nicola from Haida, we've just had an interview to hear all about
00:14her business. So Nicola, do you want to tell us a little bit about what Haida does?
00:17Yes, so Haida is a software that provides access to invoice finance for small businesses.
00:24Brilliant, and so what's the plan for Haida going forward?
00:28We want to prove concepts, so we are out there at the moment in the market lending to small
00:35businesses in order to prove that software works, with a view to be able to find partnerships
00:41and opportunities to offer this amazing opportunity for small businesses to get access to invoice
00:48finance in abundance.
00:49And we're in Bonded Warehouse right now, that's quite techy around here with Enterprise City
00:54and things, how do you find that sort of tech landscape in Manchester?
00:57It's definitely growing, you probably know that Manchester is the fintech capital of
01:02Europe, which is amazing, and we certainly find that businesses in the region are very
01:10very supportive, there's a lot of us, and they're very very supportive of each other,
01:15so it's a great ecosystem up here in the north.
01:18And you were sort of a start-up a couple of years ago, so what would be your advice to
01:23other people who are kind of starting up on that journey?
01:26I genuinely would say that when asked if you can do something, just say yes and figure
01:31it out later.
01:32Brilliant, well thanks for chatting with me today.
01:34No problem.
