00:25I am very pleased to welcome all the participants and guests of the International Forum Russia is a Sports Power.

00:34I am pleased to welcome our esteemed foreign colleagues and partners.

00:39We have gathered in the city of Ufa, the capital of Bashkiria,

00:45one of the most distinctive regions of our multinational fatherland.

00:51This year, the city of Ufa celebrates its 450th anniversary.

00:57I would like to congratulate the residents of this city and the entire republic on this significant event.

01:09I would also like to thank you for your enormous contribution to the development of our great country,

01:14its military, labor, scientific and sports triumphs.

01:18I am confident that the participants of this forum will appreciate the famous Bashkir hospitality,

01:28that they will be interested in learning about the history of this remarkable ancient land,

01:34its unique cultural heritage and sports traditions, and, of course, the region's modern achievements.

01:42Bashkiria is rightfully hosting a forum whose theme is acute and very relevant.

01:47Sports. A comprehensive view of the future.

01:50The prospects, the future of world sports, really need serious, substantive discussion,

01:58a joint search for an answer to the question, how to overcome the difficult challenges of our time,

02:05how to prevent a split in the international sports family, cleanse sports of vulgar politicization,

02:12double standards, perverted rules, humiliating discrimination,

02:18including on the basis of citizenship and nationality of athletes.

02:22Today it is already obvious that they are trying to make world sports,

02:28the Olympic movement not an arena for fair competitions, but a platform for geopolitical games,

02:34for the imposition of a destructive neoliberal agenda,

02:38for the propaganda of unnatural norms and pseudo-freedoms,

02:43and for the denial of traditional values,

02:47which the overwhelming majority of countries and peoples of the planet have lived by for centuries, millennia.

02:53Russia, I am sure, like the world majority, is choosing a different path.

02:58This is equality and openness.

03:01This is mutual respect in all areas of cooperation, in the economy and culture,

03:07in science and education, in healthcare, trade, politics, and, of course, in sports.

03:13Implementing the vast experience of holding large-scale sports events,

03:18including the Winter Games in Sochi, the World Cup, we promote new formats of cooperation.

03:24At the same time, we rely on the true ideals and principles of sports,

03:30and these are solidarity, justice, the triumph of the human spirit, strength and intellect.

03:37This is nobility and respect for the dignity of the opponent, for strong opponents.

03:44We treat all opponents with respect.

03:47Let me remind you that this year Russia presented the world with a unique tournament

03:52within the framework of the promising Fidgetal Movement, the Games of the Future.

03:56We successfully held the BRICS Games this summer.

03:59We are intensifying our work in the field of sports and with partners in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

04:05I would like to emphasize that the initiatives proposed by Russia are additional opportunities for athletes

04:15to demonstrate their skills in arenas, where sport is above all outside of politics,

04:22the way we value and love it, free and fair, imbued with the spirit of friendship and unity.

04:29This is the atmosphere that reigns at the forum venues Russia is a sports power.

04:34It is designed to strengthen international cooperation, connections, contacts.

04:40It provides an opportunity to openly communicate on a variety of, sometimes very sensitive topics,

04:47exchange the best practices of sports training, methods of scientific support for amateur and professional sports,

04:55and, of course, ideas for promoting a healthy lifestyle culture.

05:00In Russia, we see that sport is one of the key ways to achieve national development goals.

05:06It is a powerful resource that can improve the quality of life of people,

05:11open up new horizons for self-realization, believe in themselves and become successful, both in sports and in life in general.

05:19Among our main priorities is the formation of the broadest possible opportunities for physical education and sports.

05:27Over the past 10 years, more than 1 trillion rubles have been invested in the creation of accessible sports facilities in all regions of Russia.

05:37About 85,000 sports facilities have been built using public and private funds.

05:43More than 2,000 more will appear by 2030.

05:47From the federal budget alone, we will allocate about 65 billion rubles for this.

05:54Significant amounts have also been planned by Russian businesses.

05:58In this regard, I will add that every year more and more of our companies and entrepreneurs invest in the modernization and construction of new sports centers and sites,

06:10and not only in the regions where they directly operate, but also throughout the country.

06:17They become co-organizers of competitions and take patronage over clubs and sports schools.

06:24They implement their corporate programs to support sports.

06:27Combining the efforts, resources, initiatives of government bodies and public organizations, private entrepreneurs and philanthropists,

06:37Russia covers all areas of sports, from youth en masse to professional and adaptive.

06:44Attention to people with disabilities, caring for their needs, creating conditions for increasing their social activity are tasks of particular importance.

06:55The role of sports in solving them is invaluable, as is the example of our brilliant, courageous Paralympians.

07:04Despite all the obstacles and restrictions, the tough psychological pressure at the recent Games in Paris,

07:13they once again confirmed the leading positions of Russian sports, and they once again proved that our athletes are real leaders,

07:22and they are second to none in perseverance, strength of spirit and character.

07:27Let us greet them once again.

07:35A little later in the Moscow Kremlin, with great pleasure and pride, I will present them with well-deserved state awards.

07:48Dear friends, in conclusion, I would like to wish all participants of this forum successful, fruitful work and, of course, the kindest,
