A brave group of police officers rescued a man from an oncoming train after he slipped on the tracks and sustained severe injuries.

Footage showed patrol officers from the Seattle Police Department, Washington State, USA, trying to talk a man, 57, facing a mental health crisis, back to safety at 9:16 pm on 7th October.

The man, whose identity is not disclosed, can be seen sitting on a ledge high above the train tracks near the 2nd Avenue Exit and East Jackson Street.
The man survived.
