00:06Now Google Flights, the long reigning go-to for many travel bookers, will soon release a new feature to give you even more of a helping hand.
00:13They are about to add a Cheapest tab to flight searches, letting budget travelers grab the lowest price.
00:19The company says this option will add routes that will likely be less convenient, but will save money.
00:23That convenience loss could include long layovers or self-transfers between airports.
00:28It might also include bookings using multiple airlines for a single leg of the itinerary.
00:32With a spokesperson telling Travel and Leisure,
00:34On Google Flights we've traditionally shown the best option for your trip based on a mix of price, convenience and ease of booking.
00:40But sometimes there are cheaper options available, especially if you're willing to sacrifice a bit of convenience.
00:45They add that you will likely see more options this way, and you can weigh those trade-offs for yourself.
00:50The new option is set to roll out over the next couple of weeks, with travelers now having the option to select the best or cheapest tabs.
00:57Google also recently introduced a feature which indicates when is the best time to buy a ticket,
01:01and estimates how much you will save by booking now or later.
