00:00There are already plenty of reasons to love Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, but — zoinks!
00:06— the game just got even better.
00:07That is, if you're a fan of a certain Mystery Inc. badass.
00:10Check out my pecs, little man!
00:15The long-awaited spiritual sequel to the Budokai Tenkaichi franchise has one of the largest
00:20rosters we've ever seen in a fighting game, and modders have made sure that the most powerful
00:25character of all hasn't been left off the list.
00:28That's right, you can now play as Shaggy in Sparking Zero, and all it costs is a little
00:32bit of time and whatever you paid for your gaming PC.
00:36Zoinks!
00:37What'd I do to you?
00:40The Shaggy mob replaces Gohan with everyone's favorite human character from Scooby-Doo,
00:44so you will have to sacrifice at least one familiar face from the Dragon Ball franchise
00:48to play as him.
00:49After taking a look at what modder Aqualo has pulled off with this creation, we've got
00:53to say it's worth the trade.
00:56Almost as soon as the game debuted in early access, fans started asking when a Shaggy
00:59mod was going to drop, and we're honestly surprised it took a week.
01:03There's no shortage of great mods for Sparking Zero, and many of them focus on adding beloved
01:08characters like CJ from Grand Theft Auto San Andreas and Shrek to the mix.
01:13Ah, s***.
01:14Here we go again.
01:16Fans have appreciated all the hard work that went into making those characters playable,
01:20but all that effort is meaningless now.
01:23Nobody can stand up to even a shred of Shaggy's ultra-instinct power, and gamers are ready
01:27to start decimating the entire Dragon Ball lineup with his unstoppable might.
01:32Then my work here is done.
01:35Aqualo uploaded the Shaggy mod to Nexus Mods and GameBanana on October 16, and it's already
01:40been downloaded over 400 times between the two platforms.
01:44Gamers have begun wreaking havoc across the Dragon Ball universe with Shaggy's fighting
01:48prowess, and the videos they've uploaded are pretty spectacular.
01:51It looks like Shaggy is using Gohan's moveset, but that's probably because he's only channeled
01:56a small portion of his power into the fight.
01:58Admittedly, Aqualo didn't design an entirely new playable character for the mod, but this
02:02is more than just a simple reskin.
02:05Shaggy's got his own voiced dialogue lines, so you can taunt your enemies and character
02:08as you wipe the floor with them.
02:10As is usually the case when Shaggy makes a bold appearance in a new game, fans are loving
02:15every second of this.
02:16Some are even hoping for an update to the mod that puts Shaggy over another character
02:20like Goku.
02:21But why should modders stop there?
02:23If we're really lucky, some enterprising Scooby-Doo fan will give us an entire sparking Zero roster
02:28full of nothing but Shaggy, and the ensuing battle can be marked down in the annals of
02:32gaming history forever.
02:34You just beat up my whole gang?
02:36Nope.
02:37Seems like I missed one.
02:39There is a long and storied history of modders adding Shaggy into games.
02:43We've seen Shaggy snack his way through Grand Theft Auto V, Resident Evil 2, and Final Fantasy
02:48XV.
02:49We've even gotten to play as Shaggy in previous Dragon Ball games.
02:52After watching Shaggy absolutely body Saiyans, zombies, and random pedestrians, it's honestly
02:58gotten to the point where some fans half-expect him to whip out a Kamehameha when they see
03:02him in reruns of Scooby-Doo.
03:04Shaggy's appearance in Sparking Zero is a good sign for the game's modding scene.
03:08People love the vanilla experience, but now that mods are really taking off, there are
03:12even more ways for players to stay connected to the game.
03:15Any time the fighting game grind starts to get a little too tiring, there's a new character
03:19available to spice things up.
03:21With Shaggy as an option, the Sparking Zero roster feels almost complete, but we're still
03:26gonna need a Thomas the Tank Engine mod before we're fully satisfied.
