00:36:08by the true icon of Beetlejuice,

00:36:11the sandworm.

00:36:13I'm achieving a really fun,

00:36:14exaggerated version of the sandworm

00:36:17by making an insanely long tail.

00:36:20I wanted it to be a little bit more high fashion,

00:36:23so I'm using a high-shine patent leather,

00:36:26and I'm stuffing the tail with polyfill,

00:36:29which is the same stuff

00:36:30that all of your stuffed animals use.

00:36:32All I did to get it in

00:36:33was just cut a little slit here,

00:36:35and then all you gotta do is just fist it in,

00:36:38and then later on,

00:36:39all you have to do is stitch it back up.

00:36:41So my inspiration for the icons of horror

00:36:44is Candyman.

00:36:45The materials I'm using,

00:36:46I'm gonna have a big fur coat,

00:36:48and I'm actually making

00:36:49little tiny bees

00:36:50that are gonna be

00:36:51sort of in a hive around my head.

00:36:53You know, being a person of color,

00:36:55coming from the inner city,

00:36:56how I kind of told this

00:36:58very sort of tragic story

00:37:00of this anti-hero

00:37:01who gets vengeance on the people who wronged him.

00:37:05His presentation and his costume

00:37:07and character in general

00:37:08are both very eerie and very elegant,

00:37:11things that I try to embody myself.

00:37:13My inspiration for horror icons this week

00:37:16is Pinhead from Hellraiser.

00:37:17The Cenobites are all about

00:37:18sexual gratification

00:37:19through mutilation and torture,

00:37:21and I thought it could be fun

00:37:22to incorporate the kink and fetish community

00:37:24into the Cenobite look that I create.

00:37:26I'm repurposing these old chaps,

00:37:28and I'm gonna sew the two of them together,

00:37:30and I'm adding studs

00:37:31throughout the entire thing

00:37:32to give it that punk rock vibe

00:37:34that my character is known for.

00:37:35I'm gonna stand out

00:37:36because I'm going to incorporate

00:37:37something that I do onstage,

00:37:39live, quite often,

00:37:40and, you know, sparks are gonna fly.

00:37:43So my inspiration for horror icons

00:37:45is Audrey Tu

00:37:47from Little Shop of Horrors.

00:37:48I'm a big fan

00:37:49of any sort of, like,

00:37:50plant monster shit like that.

00:37:51You know, first challenge,

00:37:52I gotta show off

00:37:53an antiheroine classic,

00:37:54so I do my hair

00:37:55a lot different

00:37:56than a lot of other people.

00:37:57Antiheroine's very known

00:37:58for her mohawks

00:37:59and her updos.

00:38:00So I take, like,

00:38:01a shoestring,

00:38:02whatever I got lying around,

00:38:03and I just string it

00:38:04through this whole thing.

00:38:06What I got on my head

00:38:07is I have a little piece of Velcro.

00:38:09I call it my Yamakunt,

00:38:10and I glue it up here,

00:38:11and then this guy

00:38:13goes right on top of it.

01:03:22you still got to bring it.

01:03:24Once the wings were really expanded,
