00:39So, first impressions, I can already tell
00:41that the color of the box is going to be different,
00:43so it is going to be more of a darker gray
00:45to reflect the new black color.
00:47Now, the price of the black Apple Watch Ultra 2 is the same,
00:49so $799,
00:51so the same as the natural titanium color.
00:54And here we go.
00:56Here we... Ooh, look at that.
00:57So, it's sort of almost a midnight or almost a dark mode

01:02We have the same artwork, I believe, as we had previously,
01:04but it almost looks like this was taken at night here.
01:07So, here we have an Apple Watch book,

01:11and then we have the band sitting underneath.
01:13So, let's take a little look here at this book.
01:16Now, I'm a little bit confused as to how this book opens.
01:19It seems to open from right to left.
01:21That is interesting. I'm not sure why that is.
01:23Do I have a different language here?
01:25All right, so it does have English,
01:26but it also seems to have what I believe is Arabic,
01:29but correct me if I am wrong.
01:31Interesting. So, we have...
01:33I think for languages,
01:34they have just decided to print one version,
01:37but that works. I mean, it's still readable.
01:39So, pretty cool.
01:40This gives you information on the Apple Watch itself.
01:42You can see here, all printed and adjusted
01:44to the darker black version now of the Ultra 2.
01:47Yeah, interesting.
01:48I believe Japanese books also open this way as well,
01:51though I don't see that language here.
01:53And then on the back here,
01:54it looks like a warranty card as well.
01:57And, yeah, so, nice little book, useful to have.
01:59It just goes one step further to set the Ultra apart

02:06So, we have these two boxes sitting underneath.
02:08So, first, we have the watch itself.
02:10So, let's take a look at that.

02:21So, here on the left side,
02:22we have the Ultra 2 here in the black color.

02:30It's not as dark as I thought it was.
02:32It is black, but it's more...
02:34Actually, no, it's more of a space gray color.
02:36Now, I think, yeah, I think my camera's
02:38picking this up quite clearly.
02:40This isn't really as black as I thought it was going to be.
02:42It is more of a space gray color, which does look nice.
02:45But, again, they do market this as black,
02:47not as space gray.

02:52So, let's take a look at that.
02:54So, here we have the Ultra 2.
02:55We have the black color here on the left.
02:57You can see the watch is identical.
02:59So, in terms of features and everything else,
03:01the specifications, they are the same.
03:03It really is going to be just the color.
03:05Let me give you a close-up look at that.
03:07So, this here is a natural titanium color.
03:09We've also seen this on the iPhone.
03:11And then here is the new black color.
03:13So, again, definitely not as dark
03:15as I thought it was going to be.
03:17But, again, it's more of a space gray color.
03:19Not as dark as I thought it was going to be.
03:21But it does look pretty sleek, I will say that.
03:23It's really got a very tactical look to it,
03:25almost like it's a piece of gear or like equipment,
03:27which I do think is kind of cool.
03:29And then here are the backs, how they compare as well.
03:31We get the sapphire crystal,
03:33one of the great features of the Ultra 2,
03:35as I've had no scratches on my display.
03:37So, I'd expect the same here on the black color,
03:39which is a big plus.
03:41You get the same digital crown side button.
03:43And then, of course, still we have the orange action button here
03:46over on the other side.
03:48Very cool.
03:50I look forward to putting this on my wrist,
03:52which we will do in a second.
03:54But first, let's finish the unboxing.
03:56So, here we have the charge cable.
03:58I wonder if they've adjusted the color.

04:02Ah, that's a shame.
04:04I would have loved to see a black charge cable.
04:06Looks like we have the same braided USB-C cable
04:08as we do on the regular Apple Watch Ultra
04:10and really all the other Apple Watches,
04:12including the Series 10s,
04:14which I unboxed just earlier today.
04:16So, yeah, that appears to be the same.
04:18Now, let's take a look at the band.
04:20And here we go.
04:22So, I decided to go for the trial loop band this time,
04:24which is going to be a first for me.
04:26I've never had this Apple Watch band,
04:28so I'm curious to see how this is going to look here.
04:30But I chose it for the color,
04:32and I think this will be a very good pairing here
04:34with the black Ultra 2.
04:36There it is. All right.
04:38Very lightweight. Very lightweight.
04:40And kind of soft finish to it.
04:42It's got a very interesting,
04:44very soft, comfortable fabric finish.
04:46So, looks good so far.
04:48Let's put this off to the side here.
04:50And let's get a close-up look here.
04:52So, as you can see, this does use Velcro
04:54to open and close, which means it's going to be
04:56very easy to access and also to adjust
04:58while on the go, and also very secure.
05:00That's, of course, super important
05:02for the Apple Watch Ultra.
05:04And, like I said, on the inside,
05:06it's got a very soft finish here.
05:08I'll give you a close-up look at that.
05:10Very soft to the touch and very lightweight.
05:12Let's go ahead and pull it a little bit
05:14with some force. So, that, I do think,
05:16will be nice as well.
05:18And then we have the same black little accents
05:20here on the end links here, on the buckles,
05:22to match the Apple Watch Ultra 2.
05:24So, let's go ahead and put on the band.

05:46So, normally, I do actually rotate my watches
05:48because I wear them on my right wrist
05:50because I'm left-handed.
05:52So, here we go. We're just going to put it through
05:54and lock it into place.
05:56Very easy to adjust. Very easy to put on.
05:58Very quick as well. I can just quickly,
06:00like that, loosen to take it off.
06:02That's nice. It is actually going to be
06:04a very useful band or easy band
06:06to take on and off.
06:08So, this dark band pairs really well
06:10with the black colour. I like these little
06:12orange touches that you have within the band.
06:14Give you a close-up look at that.
06:16Sort of complements the orange action button
06:18that we have. Nice little touch of colour.
06:20We don't have that on the other side.
06:22We just have black and then sort of
06:24a dark grey finish here on the outside,
06:26which actually looks closer to the colour
06:28of the Ultra II than the black on the inside.
06:30And while we're here looking at the colour,
06:32I want to quickly compare it to the Apple Watch Series 10,
06:34which I just looked at earlier.
06:36Let's see how the colours look.
06:38So, the jet black finish on the Series 10
06:40is going to be proper black,
06:42where the black finish on the Ultra,
06:44of course, it's also matte,
06:46but it's really more of a space grey.
06:48And this here should give you an idea
06:50of how the two differ.
06:52Now, I want to compare it, of course,
06:54to the titanium Apple Watch Ultra II.
06:56So, let me go ahead and put my band on here
06:58and let's put this watch on.

07:22I've really grown to like the natural titanium colour
07:24on the Apple Watch Ultra II,
07:26particularly because of the band.
07:28I think these two here pair really well,
07:30but at the same time, there is something
07:32tool-like about it, even more so
07:34than the regular Ultra II
07:36that I do really like about the black version.
07:38And having it on my wrist now,
07:40I think there's a good chance
07:42I'm going to switch to this colour.
07:44But let me know in the comments,

07:50Now, of course, the Apple Watch Ultra
07:52is such a highly capable watch.
07:54It is a dive computer on your wrist.
07:56It is perfect for exercises,
07:58for mountain climbing, etc.
08:00The Ultra II is going to be, firstly,
08:02that really large 49mm display.
08:04It just allows you to see so much content
08:06on screen at a time.
08:08It also gets super bright
08:10at up to 3,000 nits of brightness.
08:12And lastly, it's going to be that two-day battery life.
08:14So, if I'm ever going somewhere for a day trip
08:16or one night, I don't have to bring a charger.
08:18The Ultra II comfortably lasts me two days
08:20without worries.
08:22And, well, there it is.
08:24This is going to be the new Apple Watch Ultra II
08:26in the black colour.
08:28I really wish that Apple added things
08:30like the new wide-angle OLED display
08:32as well as the faster charging that we got
08:34with the new Series 10 to the Ultra.
08:36It's a bit of a missed opportunity.
08:38But still, this black colour is still really, really nice.
08:40And I think if you are thinking about getting an Ultra
08:42and you've been waiting for a different colour option,
08:44this may be a great time to do so.
