The police are set to investigate claims made by Ummu Atiyah Ashaari, who alleges that she was a victim of violence and rape by a leader of GISB Sdn Bhd.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain stated that if a police report is filed by Ummu Atiyah, the daughter of former Al-Arqam leader Ashaari Muhammad, also known as Abuya, a thorough investigation will follow.

00:34Earlier, it was reported that Ummu Atiyah claimed the incident occurred when she was
00:39forced to marry a GISB leader in 2015.
00:43She refused the marriage, citing her aversion to the leader, whom she described as old and
00:48repulsive.
00:49Ummu Atiyah then fled to a friend's house in Jordan.
00:52However, the leader and his followers found her in Jordan and brought her back to Malaysia
00:57for the marriage.
