00:22Speaking at a news conference following their meeting, Scholz argued Israel has the right
00:27to defend itself, while Erdogan called for leaders to stand against Israel's aggressive

00:33Erdogan also stated that Turkey would keep its doors open to those fleeing Lebanon, while
00:40Scholz vowed to support Turkey in its efforts to manage refugees from Syria and called for
00:45increased cooperation with the EU.
00:48Erdogan also made clear his desire for increased cooperation with Germany in the arms sector,
00:54including a potential deal to supply Turkey with Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets.
