00:00Hi, I'm Bob Crane, ready to shoot another scene for Hogan's Heroes, but first I'd like
00:06to tell you about the important job a lot of experienced pilots are doing for all of
00:10us right now, today, in the Air National Guard.
00:14Many of these pilots have seen combat in World War II, in Korea, or even Vietnam, and when
00:19they returned to civilian life, they kept on flying for their country in the Air Guard.
00:24They fly in their own time after their regular civilian job is done, but that's a measure
00:29of these men, men who are doing a job vital to America's welfare, even though it demands
00:34most of their free time.
00:36There are rewards in the Guard, of course, rewards like friendships with men who have
00:40the same professional interest, men who share the pure enjoyment of flying.
00:45But whatever a man's personal reasons may be for continuing to serve his country as
00:49an Air National Guard pilot, we can be mighty grateful.
00:54America will always need that kind of American.
