00:00The Malaysia Developer Awards, MDA, returned for the third consecutive year, recognizing

00:07esteemed developers in 32 awards for outstanding achievements in the real estate industry.

00:13The prestigious event on Friday witnessed a distinguished gathering of property industry

00:17leaders and the crowning of the top-of-the-chart awards and special awards.

00:25Sime Derby Property Berhad clinched the top spot in the coveted TOTC One Billion Ringgit

00:31and above tier, as well as the TOTC Best in Quantitative award in that tier.

00:36Firstly, we are very humbled to be recognized with both the awards.

00:41So on behalf of the board and the management of Sime Derby Property, we want to say thank

00:45you to the judges for believing in what we do.

00:50I think for us, it just gives us more motivation to do better, and that everything we do will

00:56continue to impact the people who stay in our township and our communities, and also

01:01in all our efforts in sustainability.

01:04SP Setia Berhad managed to clinch the TOTC Best in Qualitative award in the One Billion

01:09Ringgit and above tier, and also charted second placing.

01:13We feel very happy because in Setia, we always strive for excellence and the best, and this

01:20year we managed to get second placing.

01:23So next year, we're going to strive to get number one, and also on the qualitative award.

01:31In the TOTC Below One Billion Ringgit tier, Paramount Corp Berhad not only topped the

01:36chart, but also went on to clinch both the TOTC Best in Quantitative and Best in Qualitative

01:42trophies.

01:43It's an incredible honour, I must say that, and it really just shows the dedication that

01:50the team here at Paramount Corporation has, and reflects our commitment as the people's

01:55developer at providing value and excellence to our customers and the communities that

02:00we operate in.

02:02The Transformation Award, which recognises excellence in repositioning and revitalising

02:07projects, went to WCT Land Sandirian Berhad for its Paradigm Johor Bahru development,

02:13and WM Sanibong Sandirian Berhad for its Innovative Sanibong Cove project.

02:17We are deeply honoured and we are very happy, and we also acknowledge the recognition given

02:25by Star Property together with FIAPSEA.

02:27We hope that our new projects will encompass all the values and commensurate with the award,

02:32and we will work harder to make sure all our burn spaces and new design is excellent.

02:37This is a lot of meaning to our company, because this is really, really a hard job

02:41for us.

02:42It's from a so-called abundant building for almost 15 years, and we really rebuilt it,

02:48and now it's very, very so-called successfully delivered the new product, and we are proud

02:54of it.

02:55Star Media Group Berhad, Group Chief Executive Officer Chan Seng Fat, in his opening speech,

03:01said developers not only needed to meet present purchaser needs, but were also required to

03:05anticipate future family dynamics and lifestyle changes.

03:09Developers today are tasked with designing spaces that go beyond fulfilling basic needs.

03:16They must create environments that foster community, incorporate modern living standards,

03:24and address wider concerns.

03:27Therefore, a lot of thinking, research, planning, and care are given to each project to ensure

03:37it meets this requirement.

03:41As an environmental consciousness guru, the focus is not only on physical building, but

03:48also the entire development process, ensuring environmental, social, and governance factors

03:58are integrated throughout the whole value change.

04:02International Real Estate Federation, FIAPSI Malaysia Chapter President Dr. Yuki Hsu said

04:07the industry must acknowledge the increasingly vital role of sustainable development in the

04:12modern urban landscape.

04:13By creating innovative, sustainable, and inclusive urban spaces, developers are not

04:21just shaping the built environment, but actively contributing to a global movement towards

04:30more resilient and equitable cities.

04:35Their achievements are a testament to how the industry can lead by example, influencing

04:43urban policy, and setting new standards for sustainable development.

04:50UAC Berhad is the silver partner for the event, while the platinum partner was NS Blue Scope

04:55Malaysia Sendirian Berhad, Blue Scope Vice President of Marketing.

05:00Ken Wong says he foresees the development of sustainable cities in the future, and is

05:04happy of the direction that the industry is heading.

05:07We are very honoured to be part of this milestone for the developers in Malaysia, and also I

05:14think Blue Scope has been collaborating with the Malaysian property developer for a long

05:18time to create sustainable homes using our innovative steel solutions.

05:23I think, I hope that this award is going to elevate further the quality of the property

05:29development in Malaysia.

05:30Housing and Local Government Minister Ngakor Ming, who was the special guest, officiated

05:35the awards night.

05:37The MDA is a collaboration between FIAPSI Malaysia and SMG that sets a definitive benchmark
