00:00What's up guys, today we will be comparing the iPhone 16 to the iPhone XS
00:05So hopefully you guys are a little bit more impressed with the XS to 16 upgrade
00:10A lot of people weren't impressed with the camera upgrade with the 11 and 13 comparison
00:15So I said I would do this one to see what you guys think
00:18Let's jump into the hardware real quick here
00:21The iPhone 16 is going to be a slightly smaller phone for sure
00:28You can see the sensors are bigger on the cameras as well too
00:32Apple moved it back to this position for the spatial video
00:36You have a matte finish so you don't pick up fingerprints versus the glossy finish
00:40I do like the XS design, I think it's an all time classic design
00:44Obviously it looks older but still, it is a really timeless design here
00:49You will be moving to USB type C as well too with the hardware
00:53You will be getting two new buttons here
00:57You will be getting this button over here that was the mute switch
01:01It is now a universal button, you can basically put any application to it
01:05And then also on the right side you will be getting Apple's new capture button slash AI button
01:12You can switch the lenses and zoom in
01:18I've complained about this a lot, it's just something that I don't like
01:22The placement is extremely awkward for me
01:25Let's talk about the display upgrade here
01:28The iPhone 16 actually has a bigger display at 6.1 inches
01:32It is a Super Retina XDR OLED display
01:35It's 2000 nits peak brightness, it's 1179 x 2556 with 460 for the PPI
01:42With the iPhone XS it's a slightly smaller display at 5.8 inches
01:47This phone also has the Super Retina OLED display
01:50It's 625 nits peak brightness, 1125 x 2436 resolution with 458 for the PPI
01:59So overall the big upgrade here is going to be
02:02Obviously the notch versus the dynamic island
02:06You will be getting that now so you get a little bit more screen back
02:10And also the bezels are going to be a little bit slimmer on the iPhone 16
02:15You will also notice a higher max brightness if you're outdoors in direct sunlight
02:20Like if you're at the beach or something like that
02:22And the iPhone XS still has pretty good colors
02:25And the resolution is still pretty sharp on here
02:29So it's not really a bad display at all in that regard
02:33I think Apple not bringing any type of high refresh rate
02:36Would have really made this upgrade very worth it for the older phones
02:41Since the iPhone screens have always been pretty decent for the most part
02:46But yeah so that will be your main upgrades
02:49Which I think is a pretty solid upgrade
02:51You will definitely notice that
02:54Alright guys let's talk about the specs a little bit more here
02:57So the iPhone 16 has the Apple A18 chip
03:01It's got 128 gigs of internal storage and 8 gigs of RAM
03:05The iPhone XS has the Apple A12 chip
03:08And they're both running iOS 18 by the way
03:11And then you also have 64 gigs of internal storage and 4 gigs of RAM on the XS
03:16So what you will notice here is obviously a big jump in performance
03:20When it comes to just animations loading into applications
03:25The biggest thing that I kind of noticed here was just overall smoother animations
03:30For the most part
03:32And also the heating that the XS does is not as...
03:36The iPhone 16 does a great job with not heating up like the XS
03:39So that's I think the two major things you would notice
03:42And if you are a gamer obviously you're going to get much better performance
03:46You guys can see the iPhone 16 wobbles quite a bit as well too

04:11So like I said getting into games is a little bit more noticeable

04:17And you guys can see the XS sometimes like right there
04:20You'll see it'll have these animation kind of like little stutters and stuff
04:27You'll see it when scrolling and stuff like that

04:33I think as far as speed wise
04:35Yeah
04:36The applications aren't going to look that crazy when you're getting into them as far as speed
04:40But I'm telling you guys the animations and everything is just much faster
04:44There's less hiccups as well too
04:47Alright guys as far as the gaming experience goes
04:50You'd be surprised the XS can actually still play PUBG on pretty decent settings
04:54It can play at HDR extreme
04:56And it's pretty smooth for the most part
04:58But if you're like really into games
05:00Playing Genshin and Call of Duty
05:02The performance is going to be much better on the iPhone 16 for sure
05:06The biggest issue I have with the XS is that it does get warmer than I would like when you are gaming
05:13And it's already kind of warm right now
05:16The iPhone 16
05:19It does a fantastic job
05:21It manages heat better
05:22And like I said overall more power
05:24So if you're playing more intensive games like Genshin or something like that
05:28Then overall your gaming experience is going to be much better
05:32But my issue with this phone is that
05:34Again no 90 frames
05:36Because we don't have a 90hz display
05:38Or 120hz
05:40So that's the only thing I don't like about this gaming experience
05:43Like I said if you are actually
05:45Somebody who plays competitive gaming on your phone
05:48Or does competitive gaming
05:50You're probably better off getting a pro model
05:52Even if you get an older pro model
05:54Like a 14 pro or a 13 pro
05:57Let's check out these speakers at max volume
