00:00What's up guys, today I wanted to go ahead and revisit the LG V60 for late 2023
00:06Got a lot of requests to do this one
00:09And this is probably one of the only phones I think has just gotten extremely good with age
00:16It is really really surprising just with these software updates
00:19And what's more surprising is that this phone is actually still receiving security patches as well too
00:25So that was actually pretty surprising
00:27So it's still receiving quarterly updates which is really really nice
00:32So I'm really impressed with this phone just in particular
00:35Just using it, it is just a really smooth phone as well too
00:39Like I said, this is one of the rare phones that when it came out in I believe 2020
00:44Now to 2023, it is just even faster
00:48And the animations are smoother
00:50Which is really really impressive what these updates have done to this phone
00:55So let's go ahead and just dive in here and let's just do a price update
00:59And like I said, you can find this phone for little to nothing
01:03I see them all the time going for under $100
01:06And typically this phone is sitting at around $150, $100 honestly
01:13And you can get the dual screen case as well too
01:16And yeah, this is just a really really cheap phone
01:18Like I said, you can easily find it for $100
01:21Yeah, so absolutely a beast of a phone and I absolutely love it
01:25You can actually just still use this as a main device
01:28Since it is getting those security patches
01:30And also, honestly you can just throw some NC Virus software on it
01:34And just be cautious of not downloading things that are not in the Play Store
01:39And yeah, I have not had an issue with this device since I had it
01:44And I'm just really really impressed
01:46Now, I think this is probably still one of the best devices you can pick up to do gaming
01:51Since this phone does have the Snapdragon 865 chip on it
01:55And then you also have micro SD card support
01:58Base storage, 128 GB of internal storage and 8 GB of RAM
02:01This phone is extremely fast when it comes to gaming
02:04And like I said, if you add that dual screen case
02:06You can actually see the PUBG map on the other screen
02:10Which is pretty cool
02:11And the case doesn't cost that much
02:13You can find it for, right now these days, under $100
02:17As well too, which is pretty cool
02:19But yeah guys, this phone is a beast for gaming performance
02:24So it just beats anything in its price range
02:27As far as, you know, compared to maybe a Galaxy A14 or something like that
02:32Or even an A24, A34, whatever Samsung has out
02:37Or whatever these budget mid-range phones
02:40This phone is gonna do a much better job with gaming performance as well too
02:45You can see on PUBG, we can still play at HDR extreme on here
02:49And everything is just buttery smooth on here
02:52It's easily holding these 60 frames
02:55So this is just a really nice phone to game on
02:58I just absolutely love it
03:00It's a really really cool experience to get for, you know, $100, $150
03:05The questions about the Android 13 software
03:09I think it's made the phone, like I said earlier, much more smoother in my opinion
03:13The phone is just blazing fast
03:15That's why I said I was really surprised
03:17It just feels faster than when this phone initially launched
03:21Just a very fast phone
03:24So you guys can see just all the animations and stuff like that
03:27And Android 13 has been a breeze on this phone
03:29I have not had any type of, you know, major bugs on this device
03:34Which is pretty sweet
03:35Now the V60's display is still really nice
03:37It's a P-OLED display
03:39It's HDR10+, at 6.8 inches
03:42It's 1080p, 395 for the PPI
03:45So overall, it's a very beautiful display
03:47I think it still looks really good
03:49Even though it still has the sort of older, you know, waterdrop notch on here
03:53But honestly, it's still better than like, let's say, like an iPhone 14's display
03:58The base model still has that big notch
04:00So this is even still better than, you know, some newer phones
04:03But the display on here is gorgeous
04:05It's a pretty big phone, for sure
04:07So just do note that
04:09Sometimes you gotta like, two-hand this phone
04:11It is a pretty big, beefy phone
04:13Especially if you get the dual-screen case
04:15But the display on here is overall beautiful
04:17Pretty good color on this phone as well too
04:20And yeah, I absolutely love the display
04:22I think the only thing with this phone is that
04:24They didn't put any high refresh rate on this phone
04:27But the cool thing about this phone is that
04:30The screen actually just feels really smooth
04:33So even though it doesn't have 120Hz
04:35It doesn't feel like a slow 60Hz display
04:38So that's one thing that I've always appreciated
04:41Just how smooth the screen feels on here
04:43Even though it is, you know, a 60Hz panel
04:46But just ask any V60 user in the comments
04:50This screen feels really smooth
04:52So that's something that I really, really like
04:55And like I said, the display is just an overall very good, high-quality panel
04:59Now let's talk about the overall hardware
05:02So I've had this phone for a very long time
05:04And as you can see, I don't have any major scratches on this phone
05:08This phone is really built like a tank
05:10It's glass and metal, it's IP68, dust and water resistant
05:13It is a really, really well-built phone
05:16So, like, I'm looking around
05:18I don't have any major scuffs or scratches on this phone
05:21I think I have a few hairline
05:23A few, like, tiny little scratches right here
05:26But, yeah, the screen has held up really well
05:30I don't have any major scratches on the screen
05:33It's just in pretty good condition
05:35So the hardware is just really solid
05:37And it feels just like a really solid phone
05:40So this phone was extremely well-built
05:42I think one of LG's best-built phones
05:45As far as, like, durability
05:46It just feels extremely solid
05:48I've dropped it a ton of times too as well
05:50You have the headphone jack with the quad DAC
05:52So this is a pretty great feature
05:55Because not a lot of phones have headphone jacks
05:57Especially when it comes to the flagship phones
06:01And this one has the headphone jack and the quad DAC
06:04So if you put a good pair of headphones on this phone
06:07You get some really good audio out of this phone too
06:09And like I said, it also has SD card support
06:11So it's got a lot going for it
06:13Even in 2023, it still is very competitive
06:16Even with the latest Galaxies and iPhones and stuff like that
06:19And not only that, but this phone does have pen support
06:21Which a lot of people forget about as well too
06:24And speaking of the hardware
06:26The fingerprint scanner on here is pretty decent
06:29Like I said, it's not the fastest
06:31But it works, no issues with that
06:33I only wish they put face unlock on this phone
06:35And the speakers on this phone are really good as well too
06:39Go ahead and max the volume
06:57So pretty good speakers on here
06:59A ton of bass
07:01And just really loud
07:03So that's something that is also really good
07:05So yeah, just a really good experience
07:07When it comes to audio quality
07:09And just having all the bells and whistles here
07:11Now as far as image quality
07:13I get a lot of questions on, you know
07:15Is the image quality better with the updates
07:17And I haven't really noticed too much of a difference
07:19With the image quality on this phone
07:21It's a 64 megapixel standard, 13 megapixel ultrawide
07:24It's a 0.3 depth sensor
07:268K 30 for the video
07:28And 10 megapixel selfie that shoots in 4K 30
07:31Only thing I wish this phone actually had
07:33Is a dedicated telephoto lens
07:35But overall
07:37The pictures on here still look pretty good
07:39You guys can see the shots for yourself
07:41Really natural color
07:43On these pictures as well too
07:45And it overall takes decent pictures
07:47But just like a lot of these older flagship phones
07:49It doesn't do as good in low light situations
07:52Like the newer phones do
07:54But it still takes pretty good shots here
07:57You get really good image processing here
08:00You don't get a whole bunch of overexposure
08:03Good balance with the photos
08:05Good dynamic range
08:07And the 64 megapixel lens
08:09You can get a really good shot
08:11And be able to zoom in
08:13And still retain a good amount of detail
08:15With this phone as well too
08:17So overall the image quality looks really good
08:19Portrait shots come out pretty decent
08:21Video is really good on here
08:23And also this phone does have a manual mode
08:25As well too
08:27Which is really nice
08:29So any of you guys who like
08:31Love to take pictures
08:33You guys know manual mode is always
08:35A really good option to have on your phone
08:37So I think the photo taking experience
08:39On this phone is pretty good
08:41For the most part
08:43I think for the casual photo taker
08:45I don't think it's an awful experience
08:47Especially if you're in good lighting
08:49But like I said
08:51It does show it's age a little bit
08:53When you take it out of a good lighting scenario
08:55You can get sort of a grainier shot
08:57And stuff like that
08:59But overall I think the image quality
09:01Is still pretty decent here
09:03The most surprising thing with this phone
09:05Throughout the years is actually battery life
09:07This phone has a 5000 mAh battery
09:09And battery life is
09:11Really really good on this phone
09:13Really good standby time as well too
09:15With this phone
09:17You also get wireless charging on board
09:19With this phone as well too
09:21But battery life is really really good guys
09:23I'm telling you
09:25You pretty much can get through a day, day and a half
09:27With this phone
09:29It does a really really good job
09:31With battery life
09:33So obviously if you use a dual screen case
09:35It might drain a little bit faster
09:37But using a phone just by itself
09:39It is really really good when it comes to battery life
09:41I have zero issues with battery
09:43On this phone
09:45Just a few guys in the comments
09:47That said they were having charging port issues
09:49I noticed that was like a thing
09:51With this phone
09:53Sometimes on Reddit you will see
09:55That's kind of like the main issue
09:57I haven't had any issues with the charging port
09:59On my phone
10:03I don't really know
10:05You would have to get it fixed
10:07Take it to a phone repair shop
10:09But I haven't had that issue
10:11Everything has been a pretty smooth experience
10:13For $100
10:15It makes easily one of the best phones
10:17That you can get at this price range
10:19And it's still getting security patches
10:21And you can find it for just crazy cheap
