00:00What's up guys, today we're going to be unboxing the Poco F5 and just checking it out.
00:06This is a very interesting phone because it's sort of like a flagship killer type of phone and it's really interesting.
00:13So I picked this up for $350, they typically go for $400.
00:17And let's just check it out and see what it's all about.
00:21It's got a Snapdragon 7 plus a Gen 2 processor on here, which is pretty cool for this price point actually.
00:30It's got a lot of pretty good specs.
00:32So I'm pretty excited to show you this phone and compare it to even some older flagships because it's sort of in that price range.
00:38So it's pretty interesting.

00:48Looks like a screen protector.
00:51It's pretty nice.
00:54The paperwork comes with a nice little soft case.
01:03Alright, and then we got the phone itself here.

01:08This phone also does have a 67 watt charger in it.

01:19It's got the, you have the adapter if you live in the US so you have the right plug.
01:24And of course, you know, USB type C.
01:26So that's actually pretty good.

01:30That's one thing I like about Xiaomi.
01:32So here is the phone itself and right off the rip, this is a super, super light phone.
01:39And I could tell because it's all plastic.
01:43So the whole phone is plastic.
01:45There's no metal anywhere around this phone.
01:47So I'm pretty sure that's where they cut a majority of the cost with this guy.
01:52It's IP53 dust and splash proof.
01:55See if we got any type of power on here.

02:05But overall, pretty nice design for the most part.

02:12All right, so I'm going to boot this up and let's see what this phone is all about.

02:18And I forgot to mention to you guys, there is a headphone jack up here,
02:22which is pretty cool for this phone to have a headphone jack.
02:25And there is also an IR blaster, which you guys know I really love here.
02:29But let's go ahead and just dive into the specs of this phone.
02:32So the display is another area where I thought that they would cut corners, but they did not.
02:37This has an AMOLED display.
02:39It's got a max brightness of 1000 nits, 6.67 inches.
02:43And then you also have 1080p for the resolution, 395 for the PPI.
02:47Pretty respectable.
02:48Bezels on here, punch hole in the middle.
02:51And it just looks fantastic.
02:53It's a really nice looking display, completely flat as well too.
02:57So the display on here is pretty nice for the most part.
03:01Really, really impressed.

03:05Alright guys, let's talk about the star of the show, and that is the processor here.
03:09It has the Android 13, MIUI 14, on top of the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 processor.
03:16Adreno 725 GPU, no SD card support.
03:19This model has 256 gigs of internal storage and 12 gigs of RAM.
03:24And that 256 is the standard storage configuration.
03:30And this thing is really, really fast.
03:32Even with games, we're able to play PUBG at 90 frames very easily.
03:35It pretty much just blows through Android in general.
03:38Basically just loading up tasks and stuff like that.
03:41Like I said, gaming performance is going to be top notch on this phone.
03:45And this is a phone you could really keep for a very long time because you know it's going to be super fast.
03:50And let's go ahead and talk about, and bring up that Geekbench 4.
03:54So you guys can actually see the score that I'm getting here.
03:56So you can see, pretty good score.
03:58Almost 4000 on the multi-core, as you guys can see here.
04:01And you can see how it compares to even some older flagships.
04:04Like some of my favorites, the S21 Ultra and the S20 Plus, Note 20.
04:08You can see how it compares to those phones.
04:10So this is a pretty fast phone.
04:12And let's talk about MIUI a little bit here.

04:39Like you know, pre-installed apps and stuff.
04:41So that was pretty good.
04:43But I know some of you guys like MIUI, some of you guys don't.
04:47But yeah, so far, performance wise, like I said, with MIUI, it's pretty good.

04:53So overall, it's not...
04:55The experience has been pretty good.
04:57Like I said, pretty fast phone.
05:00Stereo speakers on here, we got them at max volume.

07:44Again, no dedicated zoom lens or anything like that, so you're not going to get the
07:48best zoom quality on this phone for sure.
07:52But as far as a point and click camera, I thought it did a pretty decent job.

08:01All right, so let's talk about the battery on this phone.
08:04It's got a 5,000 milliamp battery, which is pretty nice.
08:08Pretty big battery.
08:09Just watching the way it drains, it definitely looks like an all-day phone for sure.
08:13And then you also have 67-watt charging on here, which this phone charges very, very
08:18fast, so that's also pretty impressive.
08:20And then obviously, you're going to lack wireless charging.
08:23That's another area where they cut.
08:26But battery life seems to be really good on this phone so far just using it.
08:30So yeah, so this overall, my first impression, it's a pretty nice phone for the price.
08:36It's got a really fast chip, it surprisingly has a headphone jack.
08:41I think the only thing, I think the icing on the cake would have been an SD card support
08:45would have put this phone kind of over the top.
