00:00Taipei Fashion Week has turned a bustling shopping district in the capital into a runway.
00:10It's not just showcasing the latest designs from local brands, but also celebrating Taipei's
00:15140th anniversary and making fashion more accessible to the public.
00:20Our goal is to get more people to pay attention to fashion.
00:24We want more people to feel that fashion is related to their daily lives,
00:27apart from people who have a passion for fashion.
00:32Organizers want the public to feel connected to the show,
00:35so the night's theme is Dress Code Taipei, which means to dress like the city.
00:40But what does it mean to dress like Taipei?
00:43It's an inspiring question for local designers.
00:46My work is inspired by Taipei.
00:49We used a lot of my experiences in Taipei,
00:53the people I met, and the scenery.
00:57I am a cat slave myself,
01:00so I put a lot of my ideas and emotions into my work.
01:06I am very happy about it.
01:10For some designers, fashion can be a force for change.
01:13Taipei has a lot of possibilities compared to other cities.
01:17I hope that through this show,
01:19the clothes I wear,
01:21my phone case,
01:22I hope Taipei can be more friendly to animals,
01:25and more attractive to people.
01:28Despite the rain, fashion enthusiasts still showed up,
01:32bringing their own perspectives on what it means to dress Taipei.
01:36I think Taipei is a city that many people like.
01:40It's raining heavily,
01:42so I think this raincoat goes well with this raincoat.
01:46I think Taipei at night
01:48is a kind of beauty that is not defined by others.
01:51So I think everyone can define what Taipei is when they wear it.
01:55I think Dress Code Taipei is about
01:58what I look like when I live in Taipei.
02:02As the rain-soaked runway show comes to an end,
02:05it's clear that Taipei is more than just the city.
02:08It's the rich, diverse lifestyles and cultures of its citizens.
