00:00Russell Wilson definitely played better than maybe anybody thought, definitely better than
00:09I thought, especially in that second half.
00:12And it was really interesting at one point of the game, Vinny, I thought Chris Collinsworth
00:16made a good point that I really hadn't realized is that those floating passes that Russell
00:22Wilson throws may be more conducive to those red zone issues that the Steelers have had
00:28because he could kind of put the ball in the air maybe more than Fields.
00:31I really hadn't thought about that at all.
00:33Now, I'm not buying this one game, let me be clear.
00:36I'm not buying this just one game that he's going to be great.
00:38I don't think so.
00:40But I thought a really good point was made there on TV last night.
00:43Yeah, I mean, it's a different offense.
00:46You just didn't see this here with Justin Fields.
00:49In fact, he was thrown at George Pickens.
00:51That connection was off of Justin Fields, and that's one of the biggest reasons that
00:55Russell Wilson had won the job in the offseason because George Pickens is a mercurial guy,
00:59but you want to keep him happy.
01:00He's your best playmaker right now.
01:03And if he can make big plays, you see what happens, it opens up the rest of the offense
01:06where you can stretch the field a little bit.
01:08They got their running game going, so that's what they're looking for, to unlock a little
01:12bit more of a legitimate downfield passing offense here.
01:16And Justin Fields, there's some maybe places they could have used him, maybe near the goal
01:21line, but then they got rolling, scoring all those touchdowns and pulling away from
01:25the Jets.
01:26So, the other thing that happened, the Jets kind of were dropping everywhere defensively.
01:30They didn't have a lot there in the secondary in the end, but again, you got to credit Russell
01:35Wilson for coming out there, overcoming a little bit of a slow start, and then getting
01:39rolling here.
01:40And they get the Giants next at home, another primetime game, so I don't expect him to cool
01:46off in that matchup.
