00:00A 20-year-old male suspect fell in a cell during a hold-up of a woman in San Mateo, Rizal last Sunday at around 10 p.m.

00:11The residents of Barangay Silangan were the suspect and the victim, according to the police.

00:16According to the 35-year-old victim, she was on her way home from work when the incident happened.

00:22I just got out of the jeep. I was on my way to work.

00:25It was raining. I didn't have anyone to walk with.

00:31Maybe he was just hiding.

00:35Suddenly, he grabbed me from behind.

00:39He was wearing an ice pick.

00:43I was screaming when he grabbed my bag.

00:48He ran away quickly.

00:51Her bag, including her cell phone, ID, and ATM cards, contained several gadgets.

00:57The total amount of stolen goods, according to the victim, amounted to Php 60,000.

01:03The victim fell asleep in the barangay and bluttered there.

01:06The victim's body was covered in scratches and bruises.

01:11Four hours later, the authorities arrested the suspect, known as Alias Tikas.

01:17We were not able to recover the stolen items from the victim.

01:21But we were able to recover the items he used in the crime,

01:25such as ice pick, bolo, marijuana, and chabu, in his possession.

01:30The suspect denied the charges.

01:33He insisted that he was on his way home from work with his cousin.

01:37He was just passing by the scene of the incident.

01:42I don't know anything about the hold-up that happened.

01:46It was just an accident.

01:48They just grabbed me suddenly.

01:52According to the records of the police and the barangay,

01:54the suspect was previously jailed for the case of illegal possession of a bladed weapon in April.

01:58He was released in May this year.

02:01There are a lot of complaints here.

02:03This person is already a victim of theft.

02:07In the custodial facility of San Mateo Municipal Police Station,

02:10the suspect was detained for the complaint of robbery with violence,

02:15illegal possession of a bladed weapon,

02:17and violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
