00:13Charles had just finished a speech at Parliament House when independent senator Lydia Thorpe
00:18shouted that Britain had committed genocide against indigenous Australians and stolen
00:22their land.
00:23The King is officially Australia's head of state, but some politicians, including current
00:28Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, feel the head of state should be an Australian citizen.
00:33We'll continue to resist the colony until we have a peacemaking treaty where we can
00:40celebrate this country together.
00:41We don't need a king from another country to dictate to us what we do here.
00:47Thorpe also took part in an earlier protest against the King's visit.
