00:00the proof is in the pudding in that sense.
00:02But let's just talk about those two, because they are interesting ones,
00:06aren't they, from a performance perspective?
00:09I think with Akinfumeno, he's been a bit maligned by parts of the fan base at
00:13different points, but in that left centre-back role, he really seems to have...
00:18I mean, I would say, at this point, made it his own.
00:21You know, I can't see how anyone else takes that spot off him at this point in time.
00:25He's absolutely made it his own.
00:26I think we both make the point, didn't we, sort of looking back.
00:30You look at that pre-season, obviously,
00:32Wednesday were playing a certain calibre of opponent.
00:34They certainly didn't have everything their own way.
00:37You looked at Akinfumeno, and he was one that stood out.
00:40You know, he looked fitter.
00:41He's sort of spoken a little bit about doing extra work in the summer,
00:46hiring out 4G pitchers to, you know, belt about on his own.
00:50And, you know, he sort of recognised the demands of what Danny wants to do.
00:56And recognised that he had to come back fitter and stronger and did that.
01:00So, yeah, he stepped back in all the way from pre-season.
01:04He would have started that first game against Plymouth,
01:08but picked up a knock the day before or a couple of days before,
01:12and that not allowed Dutch to come in.
01:13But, you know, that's its own sort of sign, isn't it,
01:17that he was going to start in a back four ahead of Dishon Minard.
01:21We know how highly he's thought of.
