00:00because the news out of Philadelphia is that the 76ers announced that both Joel Embiid
00:05and Paul George will miss tomorrow night's game against the Milwaukee Bucs. Six sixers
00:10even took it a step further with Embiid saying he's going to be out the first week of the
00:14season. I mean, what's your reaction when you hear this as the season is tipping off?
00:19Well, my reaction is that the NBA season cannot officially begin until Joel Embiid has been ruled
00:23out of a game. So I'm glad that we can get this going already right now for the NBA.
00:28Like this is, this is just what it's going to be like, you know, this is what it's going to
00:31be for the Sixers. They've already said that Embiid is not going to be playing in back to
00:35backs. I'm assuming they're probably going to mix in some other load management spots as well for
00:39Joel Embiid. So like just newsflash, anybody out there looking to bet MVP, please do not put your
00:43money on Joel Embiid. He's not going to probably meet that player participation requirement,
00:48needing to play in like the 65 games to be eligible for the award. Do not waste your
00:52time on that because they're going to be cautious as they should be. Like the goal for the Sixers
00:56is to win the title. That's why you trade for Paul George and get them on the, or other sign
01:00Paul George and get them on the team. That's why you have Maxie. That's why you have Embiid.
01:03It's to win the title, get to an E-France conference finals, get to an NBA championship
01:08and you need Embiid to be healthy. And he hasn't been healthy in the post-season since like what,
01:122019? Like that was the last time we had a healthy post-season run from Joel Embiid back
01:16when Jimmy Butler was on the team. Like that's how long it's been. So obviously concerned about
01:21Embiid's health, but a little concerned about Paul George's health as well. Like he's starting to get
01:25up there a little bit in age. And now you're talking about a knee injury for an athletic wing.
01:30And now he has to be reevaluated later on this week. It wouldn't surprise me that all of a
01:34sudden, oh yeah, Paul George is going to miss a couple more weeks. Like we know these NBA injuries
01:37teams tend to err on the side of caution. So just because they say that he's gonna be reevaluated
01:41later this week, doesn't mean that he's going to be on the court. It's like soon as Saturday or
01:45Sunday, it could be pushed out even further. So for me, the Sixers long-term not really buying
01:51them, but for tomorrow night, maybe there is a chance to buy the Philadelphia 76ers because the
01:56market has already drastically shifted with this news. This was Sixers three point favorites
02:01yesterday. It's now bucks three and a half point favorites. And we're still 24 hours out from tip-off
02:07like what happens tomorrow when a lot of recreational betters get into the market, they
02:11wake up, they see the news. Oh yeah. Embiid and George are not playing. How the hell would the
02:14Sixers ever win this game? I'm going to lay the points with Milwaukee. I'm going to wait to bet
02:18on the Philadelphia 76ers. They still have Tyrese Maxey, who was the reigning most improved player
02:23of the year. Maxey can go. That dude is awesome to watch. I think he puts the team on his back
02:28and kind of relishes in this moment of a chance to sort of, I guess, show a national audience that
02:33he is that dude. I'm going to bet the Sixers at some point between now and tip-off probably
02:38tomorrow when the number is even a little bit more inflated with Embiid and George on the
02:42sidelines with injury. So that's how I'm going to attack the game. I know it's probably ugly
02:46and you have to plug your nose to do it, but I think that could be a valuable bet tomorrow night.
