00:00It's essentially an artwork of mine split down the middle with the second half repainted
00:25in the style of another artist. So it looks like two different versions or two different
00:30personalities of the same character. A lot of artists just kind of pretend that they've
00:35come up with everything themselves but nobody does that anymore. Everybody takes from somewhere.
00:40It's just how, let's just say how well you can hide it, where the influences come from
00:46but with this one there's no hiding. It's just all out there and it's meant to celebrate
00:51those influences as well as those artists.
01:07It started super late. I didn't start until I was 40. I'd come out of the back of a fairly
01:14stressful relationship and end to the relationship and I essentially just wanted something to
01:20take my mind off the stuff that I was going through at the time and so I thought okay
01:24well if I start to draw or paint that potentially will give me that kind of almost like meditation
01:31or therapy and it's true. It just silences the world completely.
