00:17When did Offset start rapping?
00:20It was eighth grade.
00:21I didn't know what I was doing.
00:22I was trash, too.
00:23Went to my nine.
00:24My first rap name was Young Gutter, too.
00:26Everybody don't know that, too.
00:28Curb.
00:30Young Gutter.
00:32Where did Offset get his name from?
00:34It used to be this artist, I ain't gonna say his name.
00:36Very inspirational to Atlanta.
00:38He came out with the mixtape,
00:39and ever since then, I just ran with Offset.
00:42I feel like it matches me,
00:43because you know what I'm saying?
00:44It's like, you don't want to piss me off,
00:45but I could be on set.
00:46I'm just playing, I'm just playing.
00:48When is Offset album dropping?
00:50It will be this year.
00:52It'll be this year, it'll be this year, it'll be this year.
00:54It's coming, it's on the way.
00:56I can't give too many details, but it's on the way.
00:58How many tattoos does Offset have?
01:02I don't even know.
01:03I probably got, I know it's over like 100, though.
01:05What's the most recent?
01:06It'd be my take off of my back.
01:08That's the most recent one.
01:09Got my whole back covered with tape.
01:14What was Offset's first song?
01:17My first song was Bad Dog.
01:18Do you hear that song, you're a much different rapper now
01:20than you were back then?
01:21Yeah, way different, totally different.
01:23I'm way better than that.
01:24That was in the beginning stages.
01:25What is Offset's most popular song?
01:28My most popular song is Riff La Drip.
01:30It got the most strings of all my songs.
01:32Classic joint.
01:33Did you bet that it might've been your most popular
01:35as you were releasing it?
01:36Nah, I hated the song releasing it.
01:38I didn't like the song, and it ended up being the biggest.
01:40It's crazy.
01:41What don't you like about it?
01:42Oh, I love it now.
01:43When I first did it, it just was like the West Coast beat.
01:46Like the vibe was, when I was recording it,
01:48it wasn't like a serious record.
01:49I was just like bouncing on it, playing around with it.
01:51Ended up being one of them joints, though.
01:53What was Offset's favorite performance?
01:56My favorite state was Boston,
01:58because I wasn't expecting Boston to be so,
02:01it was going so crazy.
02:02Shout out to Boston.
02:03When I went on tour in Boston, it surprised me.
02:05Like, they was lit.
02:06What does Offset do for fun?
02:08I record, I buy clothes, I get dressed.
02:12You know what I mean?
02:12That's what I do for fun.
02:13I get fly.
02:17Offset, early life.
02:19Young King from the North.
02:21And I was getting fly back then, too.
02:22In a different style, different way.
02:24I was always trying to figure it out early.
02:26Probably about when I was about 10,
02:27I knew I wanted to be, have a million dollars.
02:30I wanted to change the narrative of the family, you know?
02:32So I shot for my dreams.
02:34Does Offset have kids?
02:35Yes, I have six beautiful kids.
02:37Could you describe your parenting style?
02:39I'm the cool dad to not play with.
02:42I lay the law, but I do it in my own way.
02:44I never want my kids to not trust me,
02:46or not feel like they can holler at me.
02:47I feel like they'll holler at me for anybody else.
02:49You gotta give them instruction,
02:52but you gotta also make them feel comfortable, too,
02:54at the same time.
02:55How many shoes does Offset have?
03:00I done lost count now, man.
03:01Last count I took, though, it was like 3,000.
03:03It might be like 3,200 now.
03:05I collect shoes because I remember when we was younger,
03:07that was a big thing to me growing up,
03:08to me and my friends.
03:09They have the J's, we used to share shoes.
03:11So when I got me some money,
03:13I got all the shoes that I couldn't get back in the day.
03:16Offset jewelry collection.
03:18Various pieces of emeralds, baguettes.
03:20We got Rolex, we got Pateks.
03:22I love watches more than everything.
03:23I'm getting out of the stage and wearing the big jewelry.
03:27I rather classic and cool,
03:28but I want my watch to be a big dog.
03:30So you understand when I walk in the room,
03:31the presence is there with the watch.
03:33Like today, I have on the 2024.
03:36Stainless, rose face, skeleton, Audemars Piguet.
03:39Only people I done seen with it
03:41is Michael Jordan and Serena Williams.
03:43That's what I like in the jewelry, watches.
03:45Was Offset in Whitney Houston video?
03:47Yeah, I was in Whitney Houston video.
03:48I was a youngin', you know what I'm saying,
03:49doing my thing.
03:50I always had a bright future.
03:52If you see me, I got a lot of cameos.
03:53Now looking back at it, it was like a sign,
03:56early sign of me letting me know
03:57like I'm gonna be that guy later on.
04:02Who is Offset's song with?
04:04As of right now, I don't know.
04:05Shout out to my last people I brought on tour
04:07was Skilla Baby, Schleazy, Mango.
04:10As of right now, I don't know.
04:11I don't got it set up yet.
04:12I'm focusing on making the album right now
04:14so then I can go and tour off the album.
04:16It's gonna be somebody lit though.
04:17We're gonna definitely make something happen.
04:19Who influenced Offset?
04:21Michael Jackson, James Brown, Andre 3000
04:24coming out of Atlanta, being able to, you know,
04:26get outside the box and get on his own type of vibe.
04:30It's the rich takers, the greatest, the icons.
04:32That's who I look up to and do my research on.
04:34Who does Offset want to record with?
04:36I'm trying to get a song with Michael Jackson.
04:38Somehow, someway.
04:39Even if it's just some ad-libs, you feel what I'm saying?
04:41Even if it's just some background,
04:43some little harmonizing, I wouldn't have it like
04:45into his vibe.
04:46I'd produce a beat around his vocals.
04:48That's a dream of mine.
04:49That'd be hard.
04:51What is Offset's recording process?
04:54Me and my engineer, couple of my close friends,
04:56always a producer.
04:58I would love for a producer to be in there to cook with me
05:00because I feel like when you got a producer in there,
05:02y'all go off each other energy.
05:03I like to record a lot of times early on in the day.
05:06I used to record real late at night.
05:08I feel like earlier, your mind be a little bit more fresh.
05:10You might not get so repetitive off of tiredness.
05:12Most of it written or not much?
05:14Nah, I don't write nothing.
05:15I just go off of the vibe.
05:16So I plug in.
05:17After each bar, whatever come to my mind,
05:18I say it a couple of times.
05:19The one that I like that I keep
05:21and then go to the next bar.
05:22What is Offset's favorite collaboration?
05:25Recently it's Den of Tears because it dropped
05:27almost a year ago and to this day I see it in movies.
05:30I see it every day when I'm walking around.
05:32Every day, somewhere, somehow I see the pieces
05:34that I created and it means something to me
05:36because I know I did it right and people rock with it.
05:40What is Offset's fashion style?
05:42My fashion style is like, it ain't no specific style.
05:44I feel like I can go any which way.
05:46I'll stay on a vibe for a little bit
05:47and then I like to move on and just keep switching.
05:49I feel like fashion don't really have no statement
05:52or no sentence to it.
05:52Whatever you feel like look good on you, look good on you.
05:55Describe your vibe now.
05:56My vibe now is like archive pieces.
06:01I'm putting on nothing but pieces.
06:02Today I have a Vivienne Westwood original.
06:06This is the piece right here.
06:07You gotta find this.
06:08This is something, this is back in the day.
06:10It's a little old.
06:12But it's worth a lot though.
06:13So are my pants too.
06:14These are Balenciaga leather.
06:17I bought these probably like 2015
06:20and I found them in my Atlanta house,
06:22like just sitting around.
06:23What is next for Offset?
06:25Film, music, more albums, more touring.
06:29Super on the film side.
06:30I shot all my videos for my last album.
06:32That's something that's becoming a passion for me
06:34because I feel like getting the vision across
06:36is the easiest way to tell a story.
06:38What part do you play in the music video production?
06:41So what I do is I direct the video
06:43and then I hire everybody around me,
06:45which is people that I've previously shot with before.
06:47Like if I shoot a video with you
06:49and then I feel like you're a great AD,
06:51I get your personal contact
06:53so then we can personally work together.
06:55And I have my own production company.
06:57What's up?
06:58This is your boy Offset.
06:59That was all the boys.
07:00You know what it is.
07:01We come with some new drip, new moves,
07:02new music, new visuals, everything new on the way.
