Floral tributes have been laid at Shakespeare Towers following the death of Emma Atkinson, the pregnant woman who fell from the Burmantofts building on Tuesday.

00:16after the incident at Shakespeare Towers in the Bermontos area of the city. Residents,
00:21friends and locals have laid flowers and left letters of condolence at the scene. West Yorkshire
00:26Police said in a statement that they were contacted at 10.24am on Tuesday 22nd October
00:33by the ambulance service who had been called to an incident where a woman had fallen from
00:37height at Shakespeare Towers in Shakespeare Approach. The woman died at the scene as a
00:42result of her injuries. There were no suspicious circumstances and the coroner's office has
00:48been informed. The woman was aged in her 30s and was in the late stage of pregnancy and
00:53her baby was delivered at hospital and is receiving critical care.
