00:00I imagine it sort of tinged watching some of those things back.

00:03So many amazing, wonderful memories,

00:06but also poignant because, of course, Dave isn't here with us in the studio.

00:10Yeah. It's an adjustment, that's for sure.

00:13That's for sure. He's a miss.

00:15You know, even just him complaining at me on the telephone.

00:20You know?

00:22And, you know, because he was my best mate.

00:26And actually, he still is my best mate, you know.

00:29That never goes, does it?

00:30No.

00:31Yeah, but he is a miss, and it's just a bit odd.

00:35It's all a bit odd.

00:37Have you found the whole process difficult,

00:41or are you still dealing with it?

00:44How do you feel?

00:46Well, the process was slightly...

00:49The grieving process started quite a long time ago for me,

00:52because it's a very personal thing, isn't it?

00:54Yeah.

00:55When Dave was diagnosed, you know, that was a big diagnosis.

00:59So it kind of started then, really, for us,

01:07because it was all about the fight,

01:09and that's what we concentrated on, just about the fight.

01:12So that was easier, in a way,

01:16to be involved at the centre of it with Dave's wife and family as well, you know.

01:21Yeah.

01:22And close friends.

01:25So, yeah, it was a different...

01:28Grief is a very individual journey, isn't it?

01:30Yeah, and it's different on different days as well.

01:33Well, yeah, because it's about an adjustment.

01:36It's about an emotional adjustment of loss, really, isn't it?

01:39And the things that are no longer tangible.

01:44And it's quite an existential thing to get your head around.
