Speaking from the UK Premiere of the new film ‘Venom: The Last Dance’, Tom Hardy fielded questions from reporters alongside his friend and director Kelly Marcel.
After joking that he wasn’t emotional at the occasion, he admitted his “time is up” as the anti-hero Venom, and wishes luck to the next actor who takes on the role.

00:00Are you emotional tonight? Is this an emotional night for you?
00:03No, not at the moment.
00:05No, you don't want to see me emotional.
00:07I'm absolutely fine.
00:09I'm loving every moment of it.
00:11I guess in some aspect there are lots of feelings.
00:14I wouldn't say I'm emotional.
00:16But I'm very proud of my partner here.
00:19Business partner.
00:21Because I've seen her grow from us shopping and trying to get work together
00:27to now delivering something which I think is monumentally brilliant.
00:30I don't know how hard it is anyway to get your foot through the door
00:34let alone doing a first film.
00:37Let alone that first film being such a huge pressure
00:40and having delivered on such a level as she has.
00:43I just mega, mega repressed and super proud of her.
00:46In one sentence, what did you want to take away from the film?
00:49The desire to come back and watch it again.
00:56Yes.
00:58The absolute overwhelming desire.
01:00Hello. It seems you two are great friends and working together.
01:03How long have you worked together?
01:05Yeah, we've worked on loads of things together for years.
01:09We've got a really lovely shorthand.
01:11We've known each other for the best part of maybe three or four decades.
01:15No, we're not that old.
01:17No, no, no, honestly.
01:19It's just brilliant to get to work with your friends on something that's so huge
01:23and then see your friend deliver something monumentally difficult
01:27as a first film, a movie, a foray into doing that is exceptional.
01:32What a wonderful experience to have.
01:34And how do you feel to sort of say goodbye to the characters of Anima?
01:37Absolutely fine.
01:39And not in a negative way or a clever way.
01:41I just really enjoyed doing it.
01:44I'd do it again in a heartbeat, but my time's up.
01:47And we've had great fun doing them.
01:50So sending loads of love to anybody who's next to come and do it
01:54or if they call us back.
01:56Yeah.
