How do you feel about the idea of using weight loss jabs to help people with obesity return to work? What concerns, if any, do you have about using weight loss drugs as part of a public health strategy to address obesity, especially for those who are unemployed?

00:00They should try by themselves or on their own to actually lose weight.
00:04So they should do it on their own. It shouldn't be something that should be forced.
00:07It should be something done on their own time, like it's a mental thing.
00:10Becoming obese, it's a mental thing.
00:12Something could have happened, a loss, depression.
00:14So it should be on their own account when they decide to do it ready and do it properly.
00:19Because if you're using chemicals, we're not really doing the old stuff.
00:22We're not really doing it by the book.
00:24On the premise, it sounds like a good idea in terms of getting those people back into work.
00:27But I am also then, on the other hand, I'm not a believer in having to have medicine
00:32or some sort of drastic action to then put these people in a position to where they can work.
00:37Because I can imagine that then they're probably going to have side effects
00:39that are not probably discussed at this point.
00:41I don't know how well tested it has been, this actual jab.
00:44And like anything, normally you solve one problem, but then you create another one or two.
00:48So I always don't think that a medical process is the best way to resolve an issue
00:54that can be resolved by other hands.
00:56For example, education around nutrition or diet.
