00:00And on to the game, another quick turnaround from Wednesday night, three games in a quick succession.
00:05So how are the lads physically and mentally coming into this game?
00:08Yes, they're a little bit down because they lost a couple of games of football,
00:11but they shouldn't be too down about it.
00:13I want them to feel, I want it to hurt.
00:18We all feel that when we lose games.
00:23I think expectation levels have gone up,
00:26so I don't want to squash that because we want to win games of football.
00:34I've said it before, we don't plan a season by drawing the first two or three
00:41and losing one and winning a couple and then all of a sudden gradually go through.
00:46If we've got a chance to win a game of football, like we have done in the first nine games of the season,
00:52like we have done in the last two, we'll try and win a game of football.
00:55And with that, it gives you three points.
00:56With that, it gives you another three points or a point and another three points.
01:00And then it becomes six, it becomes three.
01:03Then expectation levels grow, which you want them to be,
01:06because you don't want to turn down results.
01:08You don't want to turn down wins.
01:11And yeah, but I think it's up and down the country.
01:16I think we just talked about it.
01:18West Brom lose two and then they go from a really good group to a really poor group.
01:25Middlesbrough get beat against Watford and get beat at home against Bristol City.
01:29Supporters boo them off and then they're rubbish.
01:33Michael's rubbish, everything's rubbish.
01:36And then they beat us in a big game and then everything's back.
01:39So there's no in-between, is there?
01:41There's no level thought process, there's no thinking about it really.
01:46It is as it was.
01:49We get applauded, we get serenaded, we get sung about and then we get abused.
01:57So I suppose we just have to come to accept it, accept what social media is about,
02:03accept that people have a platform to voice their opinions.
02:07What I do know now through this period, I think sometimes it gets a little bit lost,
02:11is we all need that support.
02:14We all need that support because it's been an incredibly tough two weeks for everybody.
02:19With what we've talked about and the quality and the standard of the opposition
02:24we've played over the last two games and the results that we've not got.
02:29Not through the want of trying, not through the want of getting smashed,
02:32not through the want of getting the white flag out.
02:35You know, we've talked about it.
02:39At Leeds, fine margins, better side.
02:42Lost to a better side, fine margins though.
02:45Definitely fine margins on Wednesday night.
02:47Had some great opportunities, two cleared off the line.
02:50Kids made an incredible goal line clearance in the final minutes.
02:57Could quite easily have come away with a result and everything's OK.
03:01It's a great result.
03:02Everything's not OK now because we've got beat.
03:05So this is what we deal with in football in the modern age and we have to get over that.
03:10And what we have to do, simplistically and basically,
03:13is have a good performance on Saturday and get a win and then everything's all right.
03:18But as I've said before, through experience, don't get incredibly too high.
03:22When we win games in football, don't get incredibly too desperate and low.
03:30And we'll change everything when we lose.
03:33We've got to keep a nice balance in between.
03:37Deal with the praise when we get it and have to accept the stuff when we don't get it.
03:47And just keep nice and tight as a group.
03:50Keep believing in what we're doing.
03:52As you all know, I've said it loads of times, it's a new group.
03:57It's a young group, youngish group.
04:00And we have to stick together internally, which we'll do.
04:03There's a great feel about the group, good personality,
04:07and we're really tight and we're really together.
04:09We're really together.
