00:10The finance secretary, Ralph Recto, said that the government has enough and is ready to fund

00:16so that the places affected by Hurricane Christine can be rehabilitated.

00:23According to Secretary Recto, it is stated in the General Appropriations Act of 2024

00:30that there is sufficient funding under the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund

00:37and Quick Response Fund to carry out disaster relief operations.

00:42It is divided into 500 billion US dollars of standby credit line,

00:47a Rapid Response Option Facility,

00:50and other contingent emergency response components

00:53from the World Bank and Post Disaster Standby Financing from Japan.

00:59The National Telecommunications Commission has authorized the telecommunications firm in the country

01:05to continue its services in the area left by Hurricane Christine.

01:12In a memorandum issued recently,

01:15the NTC ordered the Public Telecommunications Entities or PTE

01:20to provide a sufficient number of people, standby generators,

01:25and necessary equipment in the areas affected by the hurricane.

01:29The agency also called on the PTEs to quickly compile and return services

01:37in the areas affected by Hurricane Christine.

01:41The PTEs also ordered the activation of free charging stations

01:47in the areas affected by Hurricane Christine.
