Zombies invade Bolivia's capital in spooky annual walk

Hundreds of participants dressed as zombies and various other characters took over the streets of La Paz on Saturday, October 26, for the annual Zombie Walk.

Participants, some appearing as blood-drenched zombies and others disguised as figures ranging from former US President Donald Trump to werewolves and headless women, paraded through the city ahead of Halloween celebrations.

The Zombie Walk began in Sacramento, California, in 2001, and in recent years, the phenomenon has grown in popularity in Bolivia.

The Zombie Walk has since spread to major cities globally, including New York, Buenos Aires, Bogota, Singapore, Sao Paulo, and Frankfurt.
