00:00On November the 30th, 1934, a locomotive called Flying Scotsman roared into the record books
00:13as the fastest steam loco in the world. And soon, the world's fastest train became known
00:21as the world's favourite train. Today, a hundred years since its creation, and despite
00:30many setbacks, the Flying Scotsman still lays claim to the title, the most famous train
00:37in the world. There's nothing quite like the spectacle of a large locomotive running on
00:45the main line, and a privileged few know what it's like to drive one. It's a unique experience,
00:53it really is unique. If you've never done it, you can't quite handle it onto the edge of it. But
00:58once you have, you don't want to let it go. Today, Flying Scotsman continues to haul special trains
01:08on the main line and visit heritage railways. Nobody could have imagined that a hundred years
01:15later, Flying Scotsman would still be hauling trains.
