A prestigious award ceremony is coming to Glasgow for the first time next year to celebrate the best of food and drinks across the UK and Ireland.
Th Michelin Guide will host its 2025 ceremony in Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum on Monday 10th February.
Local chef Gary Townsend who owns Elements in Bearsden said the news was fantastic as the Michelin is undoubtedly the god father of food accolades and Glasgow’s food scene right now is as electric as it is eclectic.
At the ceremony, which is an annual event that takes place in a different select city each year, new Michelin Stars and Special Awards will be unveiled.
Glasgow currently has two one Michelin Star restaurants - Unalome by Graeme Cheevers and Cail Bruich.
A number of others have also been mentioned in the guide including Brett, Celentano’s, Ox and Finch, The Gannet and Shucks.
The ceremony will be broadcast over the Michelin Guide’s YouTube channel, accessible to anyone who wishes to watch.
While the event will be followed by a cocktail after party at the Old Fruitmarket.
